Ultimate Note Live Blog (Episodes 5 & 6)
Zhang Qiling continues his single priority mission. I love that Wang Pangzi keeps pointing out just how down bad he is about Wu Xie.
Threats of cannibalism aside, she’s kind of like a mean older sister in this adaptation. I quite like her lmao. This is a massive accomplishment because after Time Raiders I was like, “no let her drown”.
eeyyyy five episodes in and we get one of my favorite running bits in DMBJ: Throw some dynamite at it.
And we hit another square with Wu Xie just being like “if you need to eat me that’s cool as long as one of us lives.” I took note of the fact that he also asked her to pass a message onto Zhang Qiling first before anyone else. That man is 100% his emergency contact/#1 priority/spouse.
The fucking difference between how Zhang Qiling processed these two falling. Sorry Wang Pangzi, but he has his priorities set. It’s like a prime directive at this point. I’ve given up counting how many gay moments there are in this. Pingxie and Blackflower (that’s the other ship name right?) have broken the counter already.
The hurt/comfort of it all. And once again Zhang Qiling treats his boyfriend and his friend differently. He karate chopped Wang Pangzi in the neck and got Pan Zi to spit on him to wake him up. But Wu Xie gets the catching and caring.
Okay, I’m gonna need like ten fanfics of this episode alone. Anyone got any reccs?
Okay, so me and Wang Pangzi share the same braincell apparently.
This is truly my favorite bit in all of DMBJ. It never gets old.
