was it wise to approach a known adversary to those within hell’s forces- an adversary to even those whose strength were far stronger than most pantheons? probably not, but alastair couldn’t help but to dismiss that warnings that rang through the halls of hell at their decision to approach the man. power was a fickle creature; it would just as easy obey one’s commands as it would bite the owner’s hand. on the look out for the man who was probably the best magick user alive this moment, alastair strode casually through the hazy hall ways of the building that had been taken over by a rather poor summoning of a great old one. a that itself was the reason why this particular situation had grabbed alastair’s attention. it had been ages since the demon had ever laid eyes on the text that had been used to summon such creatures. even longer since the demon had ever seen such entities that could be summoned from the necronomicon. it wasn’t that alastair believed that the old ones would be able to be useful or even think about allying themselves with lucifer’s agents, but the grand inquisitor didn’t want that book to start getting passed around from one idiot to the other. ❝ you should really consider stopping the habit of smoking. it makes such an easy trail to follow. ❞ the demon called out into the building, uncaring if anyone heard. they could see traces of deep ones littering the hallway, signs of a fight that meant that the disgusting sea creatures tried, and maybe succeeded, to stop whatever summoning that happened. ❝ granted, it looks as if the smoke isn’t just from you. ialdagorth always likes to leave a trace, but seriously, you’ll end back up down under before you know it. ❞
