Maybe it's just me but between the way eddie talks about graduating and running and the 'gotta start somewhere' re: playing to Chrissy it's pretty clear Eddie has aspirations bigger than Hawkins which is why I always have them get OUT in my long fics I just don't see hellcheer being happy longterm if they're stuck in that town???? Like not that life can't throw you curveballs and people make adjustments, but it seems pretty clear from the text that Eddie wants OUT.
