What's hellpunk?

Made this infograph just for this! So yeah, its focused on reclaiming being demonized. Born from voidpunk as a more specific subculture. So not only are you rejecting the humanity that wishes to exclude you, you are embracing the demonic that they claim you are.

I’m new to the aro community, and I was just wondering what is voidpunk?? I hear abt it a lot when ppl talk abt aromanticism

It's this thing made up by @arotaro which is basically not just for aros, but for people who've been dehumanized for any part of their identity and decided to turn around and go "you know what, fuck you, I'm just not human then"

The idea is basically that nothing makes the people who'll try to dehumanize you fall over themselves explaining how actually you are human quite like reclaiming your own dehumanization does

There's like... no right or wrong way to do voidpunk, so it can overlap with stuff like cryptidcore, goblincore etc a lot. Some people like to make up voidsonas. It's basically just a fun way to deal with people telling you you're not human enough.

(I once suggested "hellpunk" for the subsection of voidpunk that's like specifically about being demonized, about being called not just "not human" but "evil", if anybody wants to use that)
