I went back to my HELLSING THE BENEDICTION PSD file and saw these in my assets folder (a folder where I keep things like patterns, text, props.) I can't find the 6th chapter I sketched years ago. My mind is on FUTURE Benedict, but there might be too many spoilers if I don't go in order of events. Decisions, decisions...

HELLSING THE BENEDICTION STORY RECAP: BENEDICT'S HEALTH
CHAPTERS 1-4 touch up on Benedict's health over the past 10 years. Although he is much stronger now, his early childhood was quite difficult due to the uncertainty of his circumstances. In CHAPTER 4, Walter's ghost reveals that as Benedict gets older, the functioning parts of his body fail and are replaced with his own developing shadow within him, unlike his parents who must feed to obtain their shadows. This is the first glimpse of the distinction between created vampires and true-born.
Given that vlad had a son in real life, I think if he had Benedict I think he would be remarkably protective of him for fear of losing another son.

Hellsing was among the first anime I've watched when I was getting into anime and i still enjoy it to this day.
So it's nice to see that there are other fans out there despite the fandom being somewhat inactive. And I love the character of Benedict! An OC done right!
