I filled out and submitted a volunteer form to a society that cares for a local environmental preserve. I did an invasive pull/native plant afternoon with a friend at a different park in the winter and found it really fulfilling and social. I'm so jazzed. I've been reading about bogs and mosses and fungi lately and I want to spend time learning about these things in my own home by caring for them with my own hands. I was running in the preserve today and thinking about all the time I'd spent there over the years. I used to live near it when I was younger and spent a lot of time there. It's so beautiful and dear.

I fixed my friends' pants! They're new still, but while wearing them the first time he sat in some kind of acid?? Anyway the fabric was just GONE in some places so I patched it up.

I love the fabric I fixed it with, it doesn't really show on camera but it has gold-ish lining. And it's just really sturdy and non-stretchy fabric. Perfect for jobs like this.

Feels very nice to be able to help others with my moderate sewing skills!!
