HEMATOGENO
Do, mi ja ŝatis hematogenon.
Russian candy bar made with cow’s blood
Hi! After reading about the blood chocolate bar sticker, I need to tell you that I actually ate quite a lot of these (the chocolates, not the stickers) as a kid! In Ukraine, it's called hematogen and is sold in pharmacies as an iron supplement, though I just ate it as candy. It is basically condensed milk with blood albumin — think blood toffee rather than blood chocolate — and eating it certainly has vampire vibes.
THIS IS A REAL THING????????????? DO YOU SELL IT FOR EXPORT?????????
This is so amazing. Thank you for letting me know!! Also a milk -and- blood candy is the coolest, most metal thing I've ever heard.

Oh! Huh. Never knew what was in these things, but they tasted delicious. I had to eat this as a kid for anemia, and I often snuck extra pieces. Now I want some.
I've had chewy iron supplements in the US, but they usually have a taste and mouthfeel more similar to Tootsie Rolls, with a distinct chocolatiness. Hematogen had a more of a cake consistency, and wasn't chocolatey at all.
Also, TIL that apparently blood has about the same nutritional value as lean meat, which is very cool. Anyway:
