Wanted to do this privately like I would in real life but it's the internet so everyone gets to see.

I made a reblog and hit send, and forgot to include the context that would have made my language come across radically different. Unfortunately, because I skipped that silly little step, someone specific, who was the original poster, was rightfully nonplussed. When I made my follow up posts attempting to explain myself, I used the agender pronoun "them" when referring to the original poster. It was perceived as misgendering the OP.

What I intended was satire, a trans comrade railing at the absurdity of this hellsite. In case the post wasn't clear enough about not being for men, there as ironic ad placement of fucking tampons! Hilarious. Instead, I posted an absurd little tirade about throwing tampons at men over lesbians. Which absolutely sounds Terrible, Awful, and Very Exclusionary. The follow up was intended to be nonpersonal as I was unable to speak directly to the person my mistake offended. I used "them" in an effort, perhaps misguided, to anonymize the interaction. IF/When I am able to speak to this person to apologize directly, I will address them appropriately.

Now, the reality is that @hemipenal-system has unblocked me and I'm grateful for the opportunity to do better in the future and humbled to still be allowed access to her private space and imagination. I'm still sorry I bungled that so badly 😒
