I should name them 'Grog' or after one of the Kid Pirates. We are likely going to have another six to eight grumpy babies - could name them after the Straw Hats. Very much open to name suggestions! Considering by the way they're yapping, I'd call them 'Kid' 💀
the overnight low outdoors was single digits with a windchill in the negative teens. the inside-the-coop low was a toasty 16 deg F rising to 21 deg this morning.
when all six cozy warm hens came bustling out of the coop for a leg stretch and a long drink. meanwhile i refreshed food and water inside the coop and most of them have returned.
that’s Bertha (who i rescued last night) there with Tilda (the two white Sussex) in the video. she was the first one back out to the coop this morning and with a current temp of 12 deg F and a feels-like temp of 1... everyone is currently cooped up.
