Hi beautiful witches.

To make this short and succinct, I’m mostly English/Romanian/Italian/Irish. White bread w/herbs.

Deity worship is still very new to me.

I’ve been looking through a bunch of pantheons because I have seen more rabbits in the past 4 days then I can remember ever seeing in my area. I’ve been working on invocations trying to make contact with deities to anyone I can work with and the rabbits feel like a sign. Does anyone have any ideas? I found a couple of leads but with so much info I’m just completely overwhelmed and could use a second voice. 😰

I’ve been calling like crazy to Hecate/Freyja but I don’t know if that’s being heard or not. Y’all.

Sorry to be a bother, I plan on making some salves and I need rose in them. Would I have to use fresh petals when I leave then in oil for a month or would dried ones work too? I imagine it's the fresh roses that give the oils, but I wanted to check.

Well, I’m by no means an expert, but I’d use fresh. Dry might work if you were infusing the carrier oil via low heat (my preferred method), but even then fresh would be better. Dry just isn’t going to give you as much rose essence as fresh. And you’d have to use WAY more rose petals too.

Tea Spell: A Little Sunshine

This is for those days when you’re just a little down. A little gloomy. The world feels grey and made of old flannel. When you’re in need of just a little ray of sunshine (too much would be overwhelming).

One spoon-full dried Chamomile flowers

Quarter stick of cinnamon broken up

One spoonful of honey

Brew the chamomile and cinnamon in a teaball/bag with boiling water. Let sit 5 minutes. 

Stir the honey in clockwise, letting a sense of peace, happiness, and love wash over you. Drink your tea, and just be for a moment, with no expectations from anyone else or from yourself.

 Today did not go as planned, for me ):

 I woke up at & this morning to take my boyfriend to work then came back home and ended up falling back asleep around 12 p.m. and only just decided to wake up at 2:30 p.m. 

 Obviously this doesn’t seem like such a bad thing, especially since I didn’t get to bed until 3 a.m, but I still feel like I’ve slept the day away- although I literally didn’t!

 I had really wanted to go to the store to check out some crystals and a mortar and pestle, buuuuuuuuuut it looks like I won’t be doing that! Which may actually be a good thing, considering I still have bills to pay :P

 SO, instead, I decided I would make a reference page for everyone to use on prices of different herbs on different sites, for us all to use as a quick reference guide! I found a website that offers bulk herbs for *seemingly* significantly cheaper, so I’m going to see if it truly is worth it (:

Sooo, if you have any herbs (or websites) you specifically would like to see on the list, message me and let me know! I’m going to try to include all herbs, but just in case I miss some, let me know your favorite! (:

Since it will obviously be a long list, it will take me a little while to get it made, but have no fear! I’m going to try to have it released by the end of the night (:

Quick random question: I'm growing lavender from seed, and the plants are very young right now. Would it be safe to ground by sending excess energy into their soil?

Ya know, I've never had this issue. Gut reaction is it would be fine, but I would be mindful of the energy I put into the plants if I’m tempted to use the lavender for a working later.

I'm going to throw this out there for others to chime in on.

I planted the mint this morning, and got some more rooting advice from my father-in-law (he owns a plant nursery). Gonna get some little pots, then we’ll see if I can the rosemary and sage to root with the help of a little growth serum. Anyhow, have to see how this does. I’ve sent it a lot of my own energy over the last weeks too, so hopefully all that combined will make it thrive. Still not positive if this is pineapple or chocolate mint, though I strongly suspect it’s the chocolate mint based on the leaf shape and how far it had spread when I took the original cutting. I’ll know for sure once the stem has matured enough to change color (or not) to chocolate-brown. Anyway, this post will be about Chocolate Mint!

CHOCOLATE MINT (mentha piperita) Uses: Culinary - Make tea with the leaves, dried or fresh. Garnish drinks, especially iced tea & water, with fresh leaves. Use fresh leaves in chocolate desserts, especially for homemade ice cream. Mojitos! Medicinal - Brew into hot tea for treatment of colds, upset stomachs, irritable bowels, treatment of allergies. Apply crushed leaf paste as a scrub to treat acne. Crush leaves to use juice as an anti-inflammatory for inflammations, dry, or irritated skin. Magical - Use in healing spells, money/prosperity spells, fertility rituals, and for protection from illness. Can also be used to promote energy, knowledge, change, and communication. 

Care: Likes very damp soil, and shade or partial sun (can take full sun in northern growing areas). Be sure not to let the soil dry out in the sun. Does well near natural water spots as well. Rooting of new cuttings should take 2-3 weeks. Best as a container-plant, as it spreads aggressively in whatever space it is planted. In time, may begin to drive out other plants. If planted in a container, be sure to prune and pinch off excessive growth. Take cuttings to propagate more plants.
