A surprise gift arrived in the mail today… Herbin Cuivre Copper Ink. It’s heavily pigmented with metallic copper so it’s probably best used with a glass pen, like the Italian one I have shown here. I think it would just gunk up a fountain pen. It has fantastic sheen!

New-ish pen and ink day! The new @JacquesHerbin.Official 350th anniversary ink Vert Atlantide is a fascinating color of green. This ink inspired by the Atlantic Sea which the founder of the company extensively travelled celebrates well the history of the Jacques Herbin company which was originally that of merchants who amongst other treasures brought from the Americas the first wax gum to Europe and thus invented the modern flexible seal (as opposed to the hard breakable was traditionally used before). 🌊🌎 . The ink’s color is very difficult to photograph because it is really like trying to catch the greyish dark green of the sea... plus it has a black halo contrasting with both gold and silver extra fine shimmer. I put my @fabercastellglobal Castell 9000 Jumbo HB next to it because in a way the shade is quite close... 💚 . As for the pen, I cannot think of a better pen for sparkle lovers like me than this @BenuPen Briolette Silver Ore. I don’t know why I didn’t get this pen earlier, but this will surely not be my last Benu. The B nib is JUICY and I love how this pen feels in my hand... plus it ✨SPARKLES! ✨💖💖💖 . Both the pen and ink were purchased from my friends at @AppelboomPennen. The pencil comes from a local stationery shop and the paper is the amazing Col-o-ring Oversize made by the wonderful Ana of @WellAppointedDesk. You might have noticed I am using it a lot, and it’s because the paper is seriously the best to show off ink these days. It is the same as the card stock used for the Col-o-ring cards a lot of use in the community to catalogue our ink collections. 📒🖋❤️ . Do you like shimmer?
