'Killing Eve' Fans Had A Lot of Big Feelings About the Series Finale

I'm assuming that the people reading this post are one of two types: Those who have seen the finale and want to have their feelings about it

There's a theory that men have no business reviewing (or even watching) a show like Killing Eve because it is not for them, they don't get it and they will never understand it. Last night I tuned in and watched Candice of the Well Well Villanelle podcast break down in tears during a live stream of the Killing Eve finale. She was overcome with shock and grief and couldn't speak for at least ten minutes leaving her co-host to fill the dead air. That's what this show has meant to so many young women and most guys just don't feel those sorts of feelings. It's a shit review with big-ass errors (Villanelle killed Eve’s husband!) and not even a mention of the turmoil in the writer's room that sunk any shot of the show having any continuity or cohesion. The review comes from Pajiba, a site that largely ignored Killing Eve after the first few seasons, but weighed in after the shitstorm of negativity began to flood in after the last episode got their attention. Not sure if I necessarily think Elain wants Graysen back or just her human self. However, I will laugh with glee if the whole time e*riel shippers have been saying Elain really wants Az that she’s been trying to get back to Graysen.

I wouldn't be surprised if she wants Graysen back, just because of the way she talked about him as being the only one who ever saw her. She gave up her virginity to him. They were planning this huge wedding and were so close.

Basically, I feel like Elain's desire to be human would be tied to her desire to be with Graysen. Nesta was the one who had some strong feelings against fae. Elain is the one who said it was okay to work with the mortal queens in the house to help the High Fae. Graysen rejected Elain because she turned fae, not for any other reason. There is a lot of anti-fae sentiment in the Human Lands, for good reason, but Elain never really displayed any of it that I can remember.

(And I'm assuming it was a love match with Graysen because his dad has a big manor, is a lord, and Elain talked about him like they were in love. Now that I'm thinking about it, I hope he wasn't manipulating her because of her rich father. Anyway. She was still rich, so we know he didn't peace out because of money. I'm getting off-topic.)

And Elain is surrounded by fae who keep defying the laws of physics and magic every day, so why couldn't she, once she figures out how? All she needs to do is be human to win him back, if he truly saw her and loved, like she thinks.

I also take literal years to get over really tough emotional stuff so I am THERE with her still brooding two years later. I RELATE HARD.

idk if I want Elain to be hung up on Graysen? Maybe another refusal from him is what she needs to get her crap together?

This is kinda why I hate speculating or theory! haha I just go off in a million different directions and I can't make up my mind because we have no evidence!!! Every single thing I said here could be completely wrong or right, regarding how Elain currently feels about Graysen and being human, and who knows!!!! No one but sjm!!!!

Why do they have to be dating the girls? Why is there always invalidation when it comes to potential mlm clothes. Earth has never displayed any interest for either Charty or Namtan. It's Podd he is always fake arguing, it's always Podd he goes places with on the down low, it's Podd buying him things, cooking him things, encouraging him, hugging him, messing with him. Sure l, they could be just friends, but I don't see someone leaving their house on the countryside, on Christmas, to go to the party of someone they don't know, to cook for them just because their friend asked to. If you really think about it, Podd is more likely to be Earth's significant other than any of those girls people are always claiming Earth has interest for from time to time. People are always so eager to invalidate the possibility of him being anything but straight. Podd is not as well known, but even he has been prey to this kind of thing and I hate it. This heteronormativity completely fucks everything up. I hate that people still think so backwards that they keep trying to make up reasons why they can't be together. I'm so tired of it. Every single fucking time they are being cozy together and loud someone starts with this bullshit of invalidating them, of "they are just friends", or "maybe Earth likes that girl". It's getting fucking old. So no, you're not the only one, I'm pretty sure there are many many others like you invalidating the possibility of their relationship because your mind is set on an outdated default of boys always like girls until explicitly proven otherwise and sometimes even then they get invalidated and people claim it's for attention, or that it's a phase, or it won't last, etc. The list goes fucking on. So maybe, try to think out of the box for once, get away from the default, stop looking for reasons why they "can't" be together and start thinking of the reasons why they can. Podd cares a great fucking deal about Earth. Everyone can tell that, even Newwiee and Tay, who are the ones responsible for EarthPodd meeting. Y'all seem to forget when Newwiee thanked Podd for always taking care of Earth and all that emotional speech. Why is it so hard to accept that maybe they could actually be together.
