Monthly Music March 2026 Part 2
Part 1 Here :3
"Luvagirl" Coco Jones. Bombastic, suave, with a great horn line, this song is where pop and R&B collide and turn into bubbly champagne on impact.
"Right Back to You" Fetty Wap. Yeah, Fetty Wap is back and feels romantic as hell after his prison stint. Groovy and fresh, it's worth checking out.
“an apple a day” HorsegiirL. Hardstyle, AMC-ready electronic music that feels both extremely nostalgic for the late 2000s while also feeling very fresh
“Kingdom Undersea” & “I See Red” Ladytron. New Wave influenced synth pop for those who reblog The Last Unicorn gifs for the aesthetic.
“Latency” Latency. If you Stanned Loona, time to get into Hyunjin’s light and airy pop rock venture.
“Starlet,” “Grab It,” & “Jus a Lil’ Bit” Leven Kali. LK has moved on from his contributions to Beyoncé’s Renaissance to master his own forays into soul, r&b, and rock. Layered and slick, you can’t go wrong with any track on this album.
“Back Pain” Lilyisthatyou. Lola Young adjacent, this track is a bit of a crunchier sort of mourning indie rock with angel-with-cigarette vocals and lyrics that hit a bit too close to home.
“Look How Far…” Modest Mouse. I haven’t followed up on MM in such a long time but they truly are just giving us more MM. Chaotic alt rock for when your life is falling apart 👍🏻
“Danger” Nia Archives. I have been championing her career for a while now. If you love drum & bass with hypnotic, blunt vocals, check her out.
“Old Fling$,” “$T. Loser,” “What is it Like, to be Liked?”, & “Brittany Murphy” Slayyyter. If you like Charli XCX but want a musician who does coke to fuck in an alley and roll in the dirt, not just wear a bikini top in the DJ booth, this is the album for you.
And to the most important music release of the month: The entirety of the album “U” by underscores.
I’m be reviewing my fave 3 (non-pre-release) songs off the album.
“The Peace” has insanely adventurous production and heartbreaking lyrics. It’s a track for people who want to get entirely lost in their feelings.
“Hollywood Forever” is for the girls and gays who really miss 100 gecs but also are craving something a bit less ironic and a bit more sincere.
“Innuendo (I Get U)” is a bit punchier and makes you want to hit the pavement and start running for your life until you start lifting on the ground and run straight into a star or moon.
Honorable mentions from the month:
“Sideways” Charlie Puth & Coco Jones (sensual), “Apollo” Jeremy Olander & Moontalk (bouncy), “otoginosato” michinoku double dragon (headbanging ballad), “Lie” Onew (powerhouse vocals to dance to), “Bring the Beat Back” SPYAIR (anime ED to ride a motorcycle to), “ThunderWave” Thundercat & Willow (siren song), “Pretty4U” Tiffany Day (hyperpop), “When the War is Finally Done” Foals (haunting)
