this isn't me being a hater I'm just legitimately curious: why tumblr? I feel like out of any social media site you could use, this is probably one of the ones where you're going to find the least success in spreading whatever your political agenda is.
Thanks so much for reaching out and asking! I really appreciate you being curious—and hands down, it’s a totally fair question.
Honestly, I get it! You're right that out of all the social media spots, Tumblr probably isn’t the first place you’d go if you were trying to run a major political campaign or chase viral success. It definitely has its own vibe, and it’s not always easy to navigate!
But here’s the thing: For me, it’s not really about pushing a "political agenda." I actually see the platform as less of a billboard and more of a chance to hang out where people are already talking.
As a Christian, my main goal is just to share a message of kindness, hope, and real grace—stuff that everyone needs to hear, no matter what they believe.
I use Tumblr specifically because: It’s a diverse place: It reaches people who might not be on Facebook, Instagram, or X, especially younger folks or those who feel misunderstood. People on Tumblr are often incredibly open about the complex, tough questions they’re wrestling with in life and faith. I want to offer a voice that’s rooted in love and compassion in corners of the internet that can sometimes feel pretty negative or chaotic and I also offer a different take on things.
If I can just be a small presence and offer an encouraging word to even one person scrolling that day or give someone something to think about from a more based prospective. then the platform is completely worth it, even if it’s not the biggest "success" story.
Thanks again for the honest question! I hope that makes sense.
