Hermosa Beach Bonfire
Join the Hermosa Beach Community this Friday for an evening of fun! Hermosa Beach will be holding it’s start of the year bonfire to celebrate the city and emphasize the importance of starting anew. Sponsored by Hermosa’s Beach Small Business Bureau and the Mayors office, this day is all about getting to know your neighbors and celebrating the beautiful community that makes Hermosa what it is.
In the evening into the night, there will be a bonfire on the beach that will allow residents to get rid of anything they may have brought into the new year that they’d like to get rid of as well as an open bar and a DJ to encourage everyone to get out there and show the town their moves.
Also featured are stalls representing a few business in Hermosa, as well as various food trucks from around the town.
For This Event:
Your character is not required to throw something into the fire but if they’d like to, please post what it is and an explanation for why they want to burn it. You can tag those pots with #hermosa.bonfire18
We love style posts so if you’d like to post your characters outfit for the bonfire you can use the same tag as well as #hermosa.style.
Another hashtag!! For any instagram posts related to the bonfire, you can use the hashtag, heremosa.insta. That can be used as a general tag for any character instagram posts!
All of these are optional but highly encouraged!
OOC Information:
This event will start on February 2nd at 8pm EST. There will be a post on the main to announce the start of the event. Please wait for this announcement before you start anything on the dash!
Though in rp time the event takes place in one night, for dash purposes, this event will last from Friday night at 8pm EST until Tuesday at 12pm EST. (This is subject to change)

With that said, please make sure you answer starters before you post your own! And also make sure you are not godmodding in your starters, make sure they’re open for everyone!
It’s not mandatory to put current chats on hold during the event, that decision is up to you, just make sure you communicate that with other members! All starters should be event related during this time period.
Feel free to plot as much as you want for this event but please run any major plot points by the main! (ie. injury, fighting, arrest, etc.)

This is a very general event and will not include any plot drops for the time being so please do your best to plot with other members of the group. If you’d like for plot suggestions or if you’d like to volunteer your character to participate in any part of the planning of the bonfire or to work the bonfire, please message us!
