Supervillain: "I can't interfere in this matter any longer, Hero. As the saying goes, 'a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.' "
Sidekick (to Hero): "Dang, Boss, what've you gotta do?"
Hero: "A man."

Hero: "What are you doing here?"
Villain: "Heroing. Heroin? Heroine? Hero-ing--"
Hero: "Why?"
Villain: "Because you died, stupid. I can't let villains rule my city. Besides, it's my turn to get to be the hero."
Hero: "Well, I'm back now."
Villain: "Too bad. Move your feet, lose your seat."
Hero: "That's not--"
Villain: "Tell you what, you can be my sidekick."
Hero: "ABSOLUTELY NOT."
Slug and Spitzy
Slug (the raccoon sidekick): He's an inventor that creates many gadgets and other things, but one thing about him is that he's working with his boss, mr.hero, his boss is pretty mean to slug ever since he's new here, because slug did so better at heroin than him which made him jealous, he then force him to create something even tho he's lazy, it made slug very infuriate at his boss and wanted some karma out of his boss, then slug accidentally used the growth ray at himself and the other one for spitzy. The hero got jealous at slug again and wanted the growth ray to himself so he can be more powerful to "save the day" but fortunately slug stone the growth ray and went away from his boss, Mr hero, and trying to find the way to relive his life again
Spitzy (the shadow kid sidekick): spitzy, a very young one, he can manipulate any shadow beings and can create something that's made from darkness, he has a mask to keep his identity a secret, but unfortunately for him, his boss usually abused his powers at his on will which causes spitzy to have so much pain trying to make things that's too hard for him, but when he doesn't do what he says, he'll kill or injured him, but then that odd zap from the growth ray which made him a giant, now it's a good chance to run away from his boss...
Now with two sidekicks that are big sized, they might have pretty much adventure before their boss gets something that they need to get what they wanted...
Hellooo! So I have been lurking on your page for a bit and finally worked up the courage to give a promot idea. Villain finding Hero delirious and in some alleyway and hero won't tell who hurt them, until sidekick shows up for hero and hero freaks. (I seriously don't see enough sidekick being the whumper-)
BLESS YOU ANON I LOVE YOU
—
They didn’t know what caught their attention about the alleyway at first. Villain was just walking past it when something snagged their eye, made them turn around. Still, it took a good thirty seconds of squinting and cursing both their instincts and their poor night vision before they spotted the thing that didn’t belong.
A small form, slumped against the wall and shifting slightly in a motion that seemed to be breathing.
Villain once again cursed their brain. This was an odd area, sure, but that didn’t mean there weren’t any homeless people pitching in the alleys for the night.
And yet a small sound carried in the still air, a faint, pained wheezing. Villain frowned and walked forward. If their darned conscience made them give Hero yet another anonymous tip of people in crisis they were going to scream.
As they walked into the alley, they tried to keep their footsteps as soft as possible while still letting the person know about their presence. Whoever it was flinched, wheezing breaths picking up slightly.
“Who are you?” Villain whispered, a menacing husk in their voice.
The person whined, mumbling something incoherent and shuffling vaguely from their collapsed position. Something in that voice was…familiar, though. Almost unsettling.
Villain mumbled a curse and flipped on their dimmest light they carried with them, fingering their weapon just in case.
They gasped at the same time as the figure flinched harshly, both of them moving back.
“…Hero?” Villain asked softly.
Short Prompt #65
“Ok,” Hero said, dislodging their hand from between Villain’s clasping fingers. “I get the barbecues and the group dinners and the trips to the movies; we’re mentoring each other’s kids, and we want to keep healthy relationships all around. But is the flirting really necessary?”
Villain rested their chin in their palm, smiling slyly from under half lowered lids. “That part isn’t for the kids.”
Gift (Snippet #10)
Hero looked at the unwrapped box in their hands. It was small and tattered, but the flaps were neatly sealed with a strip of clear tape. "What's this?"
Sidekick shuffled their feet. "Just something small." They glanced up at Hero - their hero - waiting for them to open it.
Hero did so. They unfolded the cloth they found inside, freezing in place when they saw the full length of it.
"I, um... saw you were throwing out your cape. You've always said it's your favorite one, so I- I tried to fix it up a bit." Sidekick snuck a glance to see Hero's reaction only to feel their stomach flip at the utterly blank stare on their face. "I-I'm sorry! I know how much you loved it so I thought I'd try-"
"You did this?"
Sidekick's jaw snapped shut with an audible click. They nodded.
Hero's cape had been ruined. Countless fights had worn it down over the years. It was full of holes and poorly mended rips and tears, the seams all split and frayed. But what they had in their hands wasn't their cape. It was a patchwork of cloth, almost quilt-like with the vague idea of a pattern sewn throughout. Hero swallowed down the lump in their throat as they realized that Sidekick had chosen to use their favorite color to fix it.
They gripped the fabric in one hand, box tucked under their arm, so they could pull Sidekick in for a hug. With far more than it should have taken to keep their emotions in check, Hero whispered a quiet, "Thank you."
