legit me w my biological fam. and it makes me so sad bc the only reason i'm ok is because i made the choice to stop/reevaluate, which they can do just as easily.

Yep. My family is an absolute mess. Almost everyone has a substance abuse problem, stints in jail, physical abuse etc. It’s just rampant on both sides like a family curse. 

Truly, the only thing I can say that I’ve learned from any of them is what not to do and how I don’t want to end up. So I’m going to make sure of that.
