correct me if im wrong but i don't think piper leo or jason knew about percy's first step parent. like annabeth was the only one of the seven around at the time to know what gabe, and by extent, percy's childhood, was like and it's not like he's not the type of person to bring it up so honestly- i feel like it would be years before any of them would find out.
i know a lot of this fandom headcanons percy as not wanting to drink/be around people who're drinking because his trauma in that area, and annabeth loves him far too much to drink when he's around so it would end up with both of them being relatively sober and their friends wouldn't know why.
now obviously this would be completely heartbreaking when their friends find out why percy doesn't drink because they know him as the goofy, op dumbass and his drop dead gorgeous, loving mom, not knowing the trauma they both went through throughout percy' childhood
