F.A.C.E. - USA, UK, France and Canada.
America: Mattie, there’s a message in my alphabet soup. It says “ooooooo.”
Canada: Alfred, those are Cheerios.
The Alaskan Purchase and The Klondike Gold Rush
Once upon a time in 1867
Russia: America, friend, would you like some cheap land. Only two cents an acre.
America: Well, the land's all cold and snowy but I do want to invade Canada someday so yeah whatever.
Russia: *pushes little Alaska to America* One, two, three no take-backs.
America: Um...Okay. *Sees Alaska* Now, I know why it was so cheap, it's cold and practically useless. Sorry, kid, but it's true.
Alaska: *sigh*
In 1896
Alaska is scrounging the mountains when he finds a shiny, yellow rock.
Alaska: This isn't food. Perhaps, America wants it.
*Heads to DC later that year* Here. Have this shiny rock.
America: Where the hell did you get this?
Alaska: Mountain.
America: And there are more shiny rocks like this in the mountain?
Alaska: Yes.
America: Wow, kid you're finally worth something! Congrats.
Alaska: Thank you? (What's the big deal about some weird rock?)
And that was how the Klondike Gold Rush began.
