The fact that we can see Toga has had her fangs since she was a young child makes me wonder if this world has protection laws in place (at least in Japan) that prevent parents from forcing their children to undergo medical procedures to modify their bodies to look more human.

Obviously, Toga's parents wanted her to 'act normal,' but I'm curious if they wanted to make her look normal, too. As in, they would have found an oral surgeon to remove her fangs and replace them with prosthetics if they could have gotten away with it.

Same goes for a lot of heteromorphs, too.

The anti-heteromorph racism in MHA is completely realistic and I am glad they addressed that it would be that way, especially considering everything else being addressed as the core plot, but it feels like the acknowledgement came out of the blue. We didn't really get to see it build up at all.

There are plenty of heteromorph pros like Selkie and Gang Orca. Teachers like Hound Dog. Students like Tokoyami and Kouda. Even with Spinner we didn't see anything until suddenly the League took out that CRC group. I don't think anyone even used the term "heteromorph" until season 6.

Don't get me wrong, this show is fantastic at build-up for the most part but this is one part where it just... wasn't there.

P.S. I'm farther in the show now (on season 7) and I'm glad there's hindsight about Shouji, and the pressure for silence does make sense. I do feel like they should have planted more seeds though, even without anyone really acknowledging it.

Fanfic question for my Bnha fans: A Heteromorph whose quirk prevents them from physically shedding tears. Will snot still come from their noses while crying?

Clean face while crying. Snot needs tears.

Snotty face. Snot would come from their noses regardless of tears falling.

Character Rewrite

I was playing around with Aqualock for a while as a concept for my OC. But then after I wrote and rewrote a couple scenes and played with other ideas for my OC, I realized that maybe Aqualock being a heteromorph was a story I wanted to tell.

So here's Noboru, a rewrite of my originally "Aqualock". The main difference here is that he didn't kill his father, but he did grow up with something many heteromorphs would call "quirk attributed responses" or less formally known: insticts.

I feel like heteromorphs are not more thouroughly explored within the MHA universe, and I would like to draw some art exploring that world and concept as a while.

If has any ideas or concepts that they had thought for heteromorphs, I would love to hear is :)

Heteromorphs with Antlers

Do you think heteromorphs with antlers shed them seasonally?

It would be interesting if you were a deer heteromorph and the ONLY thing that presented was antlers. Then in the shedding season you'd have an opportunity to appear "normal" by societal standards, and maybe notice disparities on how heteromorphs are treated that you never noticed before.

Kind of like when trans men have been on T long enough and they start noticing all the ways they are treated differently and the advantages men get in our society and are like "what the fuck??"

Someone please write a lil fic on this.
