Full offense to the Gaylors who are freaking out rn, why did you think she was queer? She dated every mildly attractive male actor throughout the entirety of the 2010’s. Basically every song that plays on the radio from her is about breakup song about a very public relationship she had with a MAN.

Also the opposite of a “Gaylor” is called a “Hetlor” and that’s both insane and hilarious to me

I've seen a lot of gaylors take accountability for shipping in the past few days, but not a lot of hetlors doing the same.....weird.....wonder why that could be....

and the hetlors are still coming down on gaylors disproportionately when maybe they should look inward at some of the homophobia in the fandom

i hate how gaylors want to convince themselves and others that a clearly straight woman (one who has often been associated and even represented them both seriously and jokingly) is gay. most cant even tell you if shes bisexual or lesbian, because a lot of their theories dont differentiate.

i'll never get it, why do you want her to be THE gay pop girl. there are PLENTY to choose from.

Well, if there's one thing both gaylors and hetlors have in common is their ability to ignore any problematic shit Taylor does, if they talked abut it as much as they discuss her relationships perhaps she would be held accountable for those things and actually acknowledge them instead of just ignoring it, but all she has to do for them to pretend it never happened is give hetlors stupid articles about every single useless detail about her relationship with Travis and throw gaylors some bones to keep them interested in her.

And let's be honest, the only reason gaylors talked so much about Matty Healy it was because he was a beard because if he wasn't they wouldn't care about how shit he is.

people often say “well said celebrity has supported the LGBTQ+ community and has a lot of queer fans if they were queer they would just outright say it.” but the thing is there’s such a big difference between being queer yourself and being in a non hetero relationship and supporting other queer people. like from personal experience i feel much more comfortable telling someone i’m an ally than being queer - esp if i don’t know them - it just feels safer. and especially if you consider that these celebrities are some of the most prominent figures in the world who have massive empires and are literally brands. saying that their gay could completely alter their public persona and people’s perceptions of them - and alter their career in a completely different direction. it’s one thing to say you support - but it’s a completely different thing to be a member of the community. i stand my case
