Usually I skip over modern AUs bc of [reasons that I don’t feel like going into] but listen, I missed the Modern AU tag on this fic and just started reading it anyway bc I love @hexlikesramennoodles‘s writing and I AM STILL MAD AT MY HYPOTETICAL SELF THAT WOULD’VE SKIPPED IT BC this fic is just STUNNING. Hex’s characterization of Billy is really, REALLY what has me pulled in here. I keep daydreaming about him all day? I literally cannot stop thinking about him. He’s got snark and bite, YET he’s matured and grown. He’s *intensely* sexy and appealing, yet in the moment you think he might lash out? He ends up being gentle and that’s the moment when you as a reader start crying because like, your heart just melted. Because you realize you’ve fallen in LOVE WITH BILLY TOO.
