               She’s going to do this even if it kills her, which, considering the fright she’d given Evelyn if she knew where she was picking up all these questionable new habits from, it very well might. If she’s being honest, she doesn’t even really ‘get’ the lines that often: even this one, simple as it may sound. Why would anyone want to be compared to socks? What did socks have to do with making good impressions? She doesn’t voice any of this, of course, because, well, the one person she’d used one of those lines on hadn’t immediately thought the worst of her like when she speaks to people normally, so this is about the most hope she has of making good impressions.

               “We are most definitely the ugliest socks this world has got to offer, but I think we’d make an absolutely disgusting, garbage pair that should never, ever be allowed to interact or hang around each other, under any circumstances!”  She seems to be rather pleased with herself, quite frankly.
