You alright?” Toneless, slightly watery, Shiro says, “You know I’m still in love with you, right?” Keith’s breath stops in his chest. The reflection of Matt sits up minutely in his chair. All the warm energy that had been floating between them turns into static, as if time’s stopped down to the molecules in the air. “Takashi,” Matt says. In warning or concern, Keith can’t tell; his face isn’t visible from here. Shiro takes in a wavering breath and brushes his fringe back, eyes focused on a point in the floor. “I know I forget to say it. I know I forget to show you.” The chair clacks against the desk as Matt stands suddenly, hands curling and uncurling at his sides. “Is this about Keith?”
