This story, widely printed and broadcast in the Arab press, also garnered hundreds of millions of social-media views.
Predictably, this story was false.
The woman who originated this latest blood-libel antisemitic smear, admitted she invented the story, but justified it because the "goal was to arouse the nation’s fervor and brotherhood.”

The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the General Intelligence Service, reported the execution of precise operations in rural Damascus that resulted in the dismantling of a terrorist cell involved in recent attacks on the Mazzeh area and its military airport. According to the reports, the operation followed field surveillance of missile launch sites in Daraya and Kafar Souseh, leading to the arrest of all cell members and the seizure of drones prepared for new attacks. Preliminary investigations with those arrested revealed their links to foreign entities, as they confessed that the missiles, launch platforms, and drones they used were supplied by the "Lebanese Hezbollah" militia. The suspects have been transferred to the Counter-Terrorism Directorate for further legal proceedings, while the Ministry emphasized its ongoing efforts to uproot terrorism and protect the security and stability of citizens.
