Look, I seriously appreciate that Steven DeKnight wants to give fans what they want and support newt/hermann, but it feels a little shitty when we all know it will never happen onscreen. He can talk about wanting them to kiss until he's blue in the face, but that won't change the fact that between the studio and china's censorship he can't do shit about it, nobody can. So as fun as all the Twitter stuff is, it just feels like baiting, even though he's clearly very nice and open-hearted and not trying to bait. It isn't representation if you just talk about doing it.
