I love the theme of characters not being understood in their relationships with others and then meeting this other person who has the ability to deeply conceptualize and give physical weight to their sense of self like no one else. It meets the human need to be seen, to be understood, to be valued as an individual and I think its beautiful to see how people can share that experience. Like between two people how they're capable of understanding, empathizing, building all the small pieces the other gives them into a well rounded sense of each other. Its that they care about each other enough to put themselves and their interests aside, even just to listen for a moment, to share an experience, so that ultimately they can know themselves deeper through someone else.
