They were destined to be together
Mirio knew from the start
Their first hello held the weight of a lifetime
A promise buried beneath layers of shyness
The first steps were small, they always were, but everything felt so right
Hours spent cuddled up to each other as whispered words of affection tickled their ears, love between friends was never meant to make your heart pound as wildly
They just clicked
Each moment felt like it whizzed past them, hours melting into seconds when her hands found his or when those soft eyes were rooted to him.
She was Mirio's sun, his reason to keep going with every glimpse of her rays, that when her light peeked over the deep chasms of his heart the ache of imperfection and loathing vanishing as they bathed in her all encompassing warmth.
Until...she wasn't.
Long nights of love and laughter becoming scathing memories as he lay there, fingers tracing along the side of a bed made for two
The nights became colder, each day her light dwindled further until he was almost left in shadow.

[QUIRK DRAWBACK] Her quirk could lead to hearing loss or migraines due to the intensity of her storm clouds/crackling thunder or may impair her vision with the flashes of lightning, can only produce clouds based on the air quality/weather conditions around her and is forced to use the water in her body otherwise (also makes her clothes drenched)

Nagi didn't really care about Pro Heroes when she was growing up.
Sure they were there, she was very thankful for the work they did and respected how they risked their lives to save hundreds, but she just wasn't as into them as the rest of her class in Junior high.
What bothered her the most were the stares.
The whispers that followed her everywhere.
"Isn't that Kyo's kid? The poor thing..."
"She's always so quiet, is it because of what happened?"
"She must hate the Heroes, anybody would after what happened to her dad."
She wasn't alive when it happened but she knows all too well what those stares mean.
They weren't there for it.
They didn't know what it was like.
They see her mom as a widow, a struggling parent.
But that's not it.
Her mother was so much stronger than the news had portrayed her back then.
Even with the loss of the love of her life, and her parents’ disapproval of teen pregnancy, she was still able to raise Nagi all on her own and support the both of them with no problem.
Her mom hadn't told her about what happened to her father, sure she had told her about how they met and what he was like, but his death was a touchy subject she still doesn't like bringing up to this day.
Nagi heard about the incident through a classmate, unfortunately.
"Your daddy got squashed by rubble! That's what my momma said!"
She remembers the painful squeeze on her heart, the air in her lungs no longer enough.
"Shut up! That's not how it happened!"
Her ten-year-old brain couldn't comprehend it.
It wouldn't.
"Aw is the baby gonna cry? Crybaby!"
"SHUT UP!"
She remembers the deafening claps of thunder, the way her shoes and socks clung to her legs as the rain started to pour.
She remembers the gut-wrenching way her mom looked at her when she asked, the tears that wouldn't stop falling from the both of them as they clung to each other on the floor.
Nagi didn't care about Pro Heroes but she became one to keep the memory of her father alive.
She'd make his dreams come true, for the both of them.

If your character could instantly change one thing about themselves, what would it be and why?
I wanted to talk about another monster prom oc of mine and her name is Godiva and the complicated thing about her that she would change is also the thing she wouldn't ever want to lose.
Was born in a family of strong witches, each witch granted the power of two sacred heirlooms, the Amulet of Actaeon which possessed the power to manipulate nature and form a deep connection with the earth and a parasite named Acheros who is a trusted companion in the family and serves as both a guide and protector for budding witches.
The Eastey magic wasn't hidden, they had used their powers to protect the townspeople and also lend a helping hand, if crops had turned out bad that year they would use their magic to help out or something just as simple as misplacing an item, their presence was welcomed all around town and they were cherished by everyone.
Almost everyone.
The church had heard about the Amulet's power and had sought it for themselves, asking the family for it in order to cause miracles and spread the will of their lord but her mother had refused, saying that not just anyone could be embedded with the Amulet's power and those too weak could die or become too corrupt and ultimately become the Amulet's vessel.
Of course the church hadn't like this and refused to listen, spreading lies and controversies in order for the town to turn on the family and the church take the Amulet by force.
Before the townspeople's could reach their house her mother had embedded both the Amulet and Acheros into Godiva, the Amulet's power only being useful/powerful in the Amulet's "home" i.e where it was formed, as she was the only child left in the family that was strong enough to withstand such a procedure.
Her mother used the rest of her magic to both fuse Godiva with the heirlooms and seal her off for protection against outside forces while she "slept".
The reason that Godiva wants to get rid of Acheros and the Amulet is because she just wanted more time with her family and just being a kid, she was only 11 when all this happened to her, could you imagine waking up and your whole families dead? Bound by the reminder of their demise? Having to go through the excruciating pain of two beings bonding with you and changing your body to better fit their powers? She was born in 1601, she's around 419 years old, she had to watch the world change around her and was hopeless in everything, staying sheltered in her forest for her protection and just her refusal to accept change. Of course the heirlooms would've been bound to her eventually but not at such a young age, when would have accepted them wholeheartedly when she was ready but to have all of this power and responsibilities when you barely know your way in life is tough and confusing.
But on the other hand she wouldn't want to get rid of this because her family died trying to protect these two things and she'd be damned to let selfishness get in the way of everything.

Ahhh an oc that means a lot to me
I'd honestly have to give it to Midas my bnha oc, I know I talk about them a lot but he's just I've worked on him for so long and whenever I tell people his story they always end up falling for him.
Shinko Yoichi is a tragic character, let's get this out first.
Born without a father, or more like a deadbeat father, his mother took care of him and loved him dearly.
Until the incident.
You see, Yoichi's quirk is gold, an ability that allows him to turn anything in gold with the touch of all five fingers, and it decided to manifest while he was playing with his friend at the tender age of five (5) years old.
And if you're following along, that means you know what happens next.
He turned his friend into solid gold.
Now I haven't dug into the trauma and the court case and all that good stuff but I'll get to that eventually.
As a result though, his mother was TERRIFIED of touching him now, she still supported him but whenever he would reach out for her or just get a little too close she would flinch or push him away.
Yoichi didn't feel like he belonged anymore, his mother was slowly closing herself off and people looked at him different, so at 13/14 he ventured off on his own, he started off small of course with selling small objects he had turned into gold and slowly he started to associate himself with petty villains and minor heroes.
You see, Yoichi had a vision.
He knew he could be so much more if he just climbed that ladder, so he kept at it.
Gaining more and more money by selling information to each side, heroes and villains, about what they were doing and became known as his alias Midas.
At the age of 17 he was one of the, if not the most, wealthy people in the world, being branded as the "universal bank" with how his connections span and how he loans money to those that can pay him back.
Diving into that a little bit, midas became an info broker and also a loaner like he would make deals with heroes and villains and just anyone off the street as long as they could pay him back within a certain amount of time. Midas has intel on everyone that has a name to themselves, from the biggest hero to the humblest lawyer or even the worse villain, he knows who you are and what information he can sell to make a profit.
Midas also acquired a handful of "followers", groups of people from many backgrounds that flocked to him for money or just a new life under his reign.
I just love midas a lot, I've had him ever since I entered the fandom in like what 2017 or so?
He just he goes through and has gone through a lot.
He comes off as like a sort of arrogant/confident 17 year old who knows what he wants and can get what he wants, he takes no shit and intimidation of any form doesn't phase him.
He's been in this business for a while, he knows when people are all talk.
But he's also so soft like he's a touch starved baby who is soooo heavily guarded both literally and metaphorically like how I inserted him in the series is when the first years got attacked by the league for the first time nedzu, the principal, made a deal with midas so he could keep and eye on the first years and tell them about all the villains associated with that attack, and so he goes to UA as a second year and runs into my self insert and her friend group and after a while he just kinda melts like we teach him to like open up and not be so guarded and like kinda afraid of people like abandoning or like using him for stuff and he just becomes this like silly asshole of a guy and I love him for it.
And he treats his followers like family like he buys them they're own little neighborhood area and provides for them, in return he only asks for loyalty which he gets like 10 fold, like they look up to him and will give up their lives for him but he just it would ruin him like they're his found family when his own family didn't care much for him anymore.
Midas is a gift and I love him absolutely and wholeheartedly.

I'm honestly kinda nervous/excited like I haven't really rambled on and on about my kids like this before, like I haven't really gotten into the nitty-gritty with them yet so this one kinda stumped me for awhile.
So after thinking about this all day and I finally narrowed down who I wanna talk about, I've decided to put my bnha ocs on the back burner since I talk about them waaay more than I probably should.
Gotta let my other kids shine!
Honestly after drawing Neha all day yesterday I kinda have brainrot so here we go
Are there any people in your character's life that aren't a good influence? Do they have any unhealthy relationships, either currently or in the past?

Not trying to be edgy or anything when I say this like Neha is his worse enemy and he just honestly doesn't care.
I tied the first two questions together because honestly they go hand and hand for him, you see Neha has had many relationship and has ruined every single one of them.
He gets in relationships with people purely so he can have them to himself, when you're in a relationship you have to commit to the other person but since he's an incubus he usually gets a pass and is still allowed to sleep with other people.
Neha doesn't get with people because he loves them, probably not, he gets with people because there's something he likes about them and he wants that all to himself. He wants to stake his claim and tie that person down but the second they want the same loyalty from him Neha sees them as too much of a hassle and simply ghosts them.
And it's happened in his past relationships.
First with my other monster prom oc Alaska Howler and their relationship lasted a really long time, at least five (5) years, and Alaska wanted to propose to Neha and he didn't want any part of "settling down", he's honestly disgusted by being with the same person everyday for the rest of their lives, and because of that Alaska no longer dates guys and is heavily guarded. Neha was the first person Alaska really opened up to and to have the love of your life turn their back on you and act like you don't exist is devastating.
Next it was with Sawyer, the canon character from monster camp, but Neha didn't really get to sink his teeth into them like he did with others. They were drawn to each other for being outcasts really, in their culture Neha is one of the many few incubus that are small and appear effeminate as typical incubus are around 7 feet tall with muscular builds and believe that if someone were to want an incubus such as Neha they may as well just summon a succubus. Ever since he had started presenting as more feminine than his other incubus he was treated far worse and almost fetishized by both demons and humans alike and since Sawyer doesn't really fit in either incubus or succubus category they would be shunned/frowned upon for going against the grain. Since their cultures weren't accepting of either of them they found comfort in each other, I imagine their friendship was very soft with kind words and cuddles but it was becoming apparent that at some point Sawyer had a crush on Neha and of course Neha would take advantage of that, he would lead Sawyer on just to see them fluster or get free stuff but nothing more. He would've probably dated them if he wasn't already with his fling of the week at the time.
He's in a "committed" relationship now with one of my self insert ocs, Enya, but God knows how long that'll last.
How have these destructive relationships affected them?
Honestly they haven't affected Neha at all since he's doing all the damage.
He kinda sees these relationships as possessions or like toys that he'll eventually get bored of, he'll toss them and find someone else to hold his interest for the next few days or months.
To put it simply.
Neha doesn't give a fuck who he hurts as long as he's having fun, that's all he cares about.
He's a self-centered asshole and GOD do I hate him.
