“H- How did you even-?” Astrid looks at the sight in front of her with amazement, gaping at the fact that this is even possible. Two seconds later however and she’s laughing, hardly getting air.

Hiccup and Toothless both shoot her a deadpan expression, not appreciating her attitude for this.

“Would you just please untangle us Astrid?” he begs, and she snorts as she again catches sight of him and Toothless.

“I think you should explain how on earth you got this tangled up in the light chain first” she muses, crossing her arms and Hiccup glares at her slightly.

Okay, so he might be a bit tangled up but to be fair it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise given his track records of disasters. And this time he blames it all on Toothless; he was the one that started playing with the light chain as if it was yarn, somehow managing to effectively spin it around himself and also Hiccup which leads them to now. Standing in front of Astrid. With their limbs crossed this way and that, leaving them unable to move.

And of course, Toothless chooses just this moment to sneeze, rubbing the precarious balance and sending them both tumbling to the ground.

A second of stunned silence ensues before Astrid bursts out laughing once again, Hiccup groans and buries his head in the ground and Toothless rumbles out an apology.

“Now you’re feeling sorry?” Hiccup exclaims, lifting his head up to throw a look at Toothless which only makes Astrid laugh harder.

“Just get me out of this mess, I beg you” Hiccup says desperately, his words muffled by him once again having turned his head to the ground.

“Hang on, I have to get the laughter out of my system first” Astrid replies, still snorting and trying to catch her breath.

“Astrid”

“Wait”

“Astrid”

“Alright, alright I’m done - let’s fix this”

Since they can’t have actual Christmas lights with electricity I figure that they have a chain with multiple candle-holders just glued or melted on; if you get what I mean?

With How to Train Your Dragon 3 coming out, I've realized that these two were one of my very first ships. It's been 14 years and I can hardly believe it! It's been an amazing adventure with these two.
