Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup cocoa powder. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1 cup whole milk. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1/2 cup vanilla cream filling store-bought or homemade. 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting. 12 cupcake liners.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. Gradually pour in the milk while continuing to mix until the batter is smooth and creamy. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips into the batter. Spoon a small amount of cupcake batter into each cupcake liner, filling it about one-third full. Place a teaspoonful of vanilla cream filling in the center of each cupcake. Cover the vanilla filling with more cupcake batter, filling each liner about two-thirds full. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, dust the tops of the cupcakes with powdered sugar for a finishing touch. Enjoy your delicious Chocolate-Vanilla Surprise Cupcakes!
