I admit, Shin was meant to be sort of a tall, big intimidating sort of guy, and the fella I've drawn up there doesn't exactly fit the picture in my head. But I think it's fine for now, and if I want to change it, then I'll do so later.
You might notice that Shin's hair is black rather than whatever shade of blue or purple plagues the entire occult club. That's because I'd like to make each occult club member have dark shades of different colors, rather than all of them having whatever "sibling-looking syndrome" YanDev had going on.
Now, Shin, as a character, is incredibly responsible (as stated above), but unbeknownst to Oka, he himself didn't have any interest being the substitute while she was gone. This is because the only reason he was in the club in the first place was because he wanted to gain the attention and favor of Oka.
Mind you, he does lead the club activities and does go to club leader meetings, but outside of that he doesn't often take it upon himself to socialize with his clubmates or peers unless it has something to do with Oka.
I unfortunately don't have much more to add in terms of his character except the fact that he gets along better with the teachers more than others his age. I imagine he always spent time around his parents and their friends instead of peers from past schools, which supports his Teacher's Pet persona. Additionally, despite him not being too social, he has a strong distaste for violence and does care enough for his peers to actively protect them should they be attacked.
