When you are a Bunny and these strange feathered bunnies come to knock on your door !! . . Elsie coming to visit Carrot ( aka cotton tail ) the Fluffy Bunny ! All the others came a calling too .. see my stories .. . . Chickaletta and Baldric were one of the first to stroll over .. as they are the two most nosy girls !! . . We have 12 chickens now ( 11 girls and one 1 boy - I m hoping for chicken babies 🥰🥰) . . As you might remember . . Chickaletta, Baldric and Shirley ( Shirley was a double act with Pepsi .. but Pepsi passed on 😔) . . Then we had Elsie Edmund and Doris ( Doris is a cow bag lol ) and also Blue ( who was nt blue at all !!) but she unfortunately passed on! 😔. Then ... we were gifted . . Zeus ( the cockerel ) Clara Latte Henrietta Salt and Pepper ( girl of the 80’s / 90’s here !!) . . And hopefully we ll add to the flock with chicken babies. 🥰.( but then they ll be separate from Zeus as he’s their dad and we won’t be having any funny business here !! ) . . Plans for the garden !! LOTS !! . .. Chicken plans . Build a chickshaw .. for the chickens - get rid of the eggloo and chicken coop . Ah to have my own food in February- onions from the shed storage and carrots from my garden ! . No gmo .. no pesticides.. organic .. chicken poop and horse poop .. which I know what each have eaten !! . . These I ll be eating over the next few days 🥰🥰. . The chickens have been fertilising the garden and wrecking the place !! . . They re going to have to go back into their area - ( moving it every few days ) till I ve saved up for my chicken fencing .. because it’s time to get the garden sorted. . They wrecked my carrot bed !! 🤣. . Also still trying to talk Darren into two micro pigs and a goat or two 🤣. . They are nt pretty but they are my winter carrots and parsnips!! . This is free food and it makes me so happy ! . This will feed me for a couple of days on my GAPS eating plan .. and I tell you my carrots taste better than yours!! 🤣🤣🙌🥕🥕. . So my next step is to see if I cover some carrot seeds outside under cover - if they ll come up - I ll line then with radish seeds .. ( carrots take ages compared to radish seeds) . . Today when the chickens would nt eat the chard left overs and roots . I wished I had my micro pigs ( @daddyofgeeks ) 🤣🙌 🐖 🐷.. . AND while I was outside I took a look round - lots of jobs to do . But I think I had some homemade compost too 🙌- it was a cold compost - so I m super excited for that !! . . . Just looking for bunny number two . To keel carrot the bunny company ... 🥰. She ll be going out into her garden home soon ( pending bad weather - then she ll be back in ) - so she ll definitely need a BFF! . .
