Named skills in gymnastics are full of things that should be named for someone but weren’t either because of technicalities of the application or their coaches or federation officials simply not doing the paperwork.  Recently the FIG has started to allow gymnasts to apply to have skills named after them retroactively.

This dismount was named the Alvarez in December of 2021 14 years after it was performed at the World Championships because of a twitter exchange encouraging the gymnast to apply.
