As I sit patiently waiting for the bus

and you’re peaceful

that’s what sticks with me

the sense of stillness that you bring

as if nothing’s truly wrong

and the world can only inspire perfection.

Your eyes are piercing and bright

I wonder what it would feel like to wake up everyday

being loved by them, maybe in some other life

Blue

Blue.

Blue is the color I remember from the moment I first met you.

It wasn't the color of your eyes, no. Not exactly anyway. Not the color of the shirt you wore that day either. But for some reason, blue was all I saw everywhere that day.

From the car honking down the street and the dress of that lady in the window to the kid wearing skates and the ocean making waves, blue, blue, blue. It was all just blue.

I had never noticed it in so many places before until that day. And I guess that's what never let me forget about you.

Everywhere I went, everything always screamed blue.

Everything still screams blue. But the most deafening ones now are the silent screams of my blue heart.

It's never been this blue. Oh so very, very blue.
