Just finished book 23 of The Odyssey, and that reunion?
The joy Odysseus felt hugging Penelope was compared to the joy shipwrecked sailors feel when they spot land. The swimming, the struggling to reach the shore, the bodies in salt—but so worth it.
Only difference is that unlike those sailors, Odysseus is home... he made it.
The more she spoke, the more a deep desire for tears welled up inside his breast—he wept as he held the wife he loved, the soul of loyalty, in his arms at last.

🌼 marigold: how jealous do they get? how do they react when they get jealous?
– Moderately jealous, but of course, he hides this part of him from you. He thinks these feelings are unnecessary as he continues to keep up his composed and reserved nature. If he trusts you, then he won't be too worried. After all, he can see clearly how much you love him.
– So, if you're no longer paying attention to him but to another, he won't say anything. He'll keep his cool demeanour and let you speak to the guy until you're finished.
– But there may be times these feelings outweigh his maturity. He's not going to be mad at you, in fact, he'll be really gentle with you. He'll confide in you calmly about his jealousy, hoping you'll understand.
– Your relationship is built on communication and understanding. What a healthy relationship indeed!
🌼 honeysuckle: if their s/o was hurt, what would they do?
– As expected, he'll keep calm. First, he'll ask you if you're okay, comforting you if needed. Then he'll attend to your wounds, gently applying ointment to your skin and placing a plaster on it.
– If you were hurt emotionally, he'll be right by your side to console you. He'll let you rant as long as you wanted and he'll listen carefully. He won't utter a word unless you want him to as he knows that sometimes you just want to rant, not seek advice.
– Though, of course, if you wanted advice, he'll give it to you. He's analytical and smart, so what he recommends to you is always the best action to take.
– He'll always be there to lend you his shoulder when you want to cry, and he'll always be ready to patch you up if you hurt yourself accidentally.
🌼 yellow tulips: if their s/o is sad, what would they do to make them smile again?
– He'll think of all the things you enjoy doing, and suggest that the two of you should do them together. For instance, if you liked playing video games, he'll play with you (despite the fact he rarely plays games). He wants to see you happy, and if this is one of the ways to make you happy, then he'll do it.
– Most of the time, he tries to cheer you up by cooking your favourite meals or desserts for you, and if you wanted it, he'll sing you something since you love hearing him sing.
– He will comfort you normally too. If you're crying in bed, he'll cup your cheek and whisper nothing but sweet things to you.
