"Karin?"
Hinata watched as Karin was tossing and turning in their bed. It was another bad nightmare. The Hyuga frowned and gently touched Karin's arm.
"Karin, please wake up!"
Karin's eyes darted open, she was breathing heavily and sweat was on her brow and tears in her eyes. "H-Hinata?"
"Yes love. It's me, you were having a nightmare." Hinata answered.
"O-Oh god..." Karin replied with a shaky breath. "Oh my god... Hinata I-"
"Don't say anything Karin." Hinata told her. "I'm here now, and I'm with you."
"I-.... Can I hug you?" Karin asked.
"Of course."
Karin wrapped her arms around Hinata tightly, like a child does their favorite stuffed animal. Hinata gently wiped away the Uzumaki's tears and sweat that was on her face.
"No matter what happens, I love you Karin." Hinata began. "You're safe, those nightmares cannot hurt you."
Karin simply nodded, too weak to really talk. She just wanted to take in Hinata: her voice, her scent, her softness. It was always a comfort for her since they decided to be together.
