My first reaction to this is that they seem like they have some chemistry. I know Syo and Aoi interact a lot.
After doing some digging, I found out that Toko would normally say cruel things to Aoi. She called Aoi, “Stupid Swimmer” and “brainless mermaid.”
Toko was pissed at Aoi for Slapping Byakuya and argued with her the next day about Sakura.
When Yuta dies in Ultra Despair Girls, Toko is hesitant to deliver the message to Aoi, not wanting to upset her.
They do not have any Danganronpa S or Ultimate Talent Development Plan interactions.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but however compatible their personalities might be, if Aoi is at all able to interact with Komaru normally, then she's amazingly resilient.

Komaru sits at the junction of two of Aoi's most painful losses.
And if we take it to be true that Toko was attracted to Aoi (which seems...implied), the idea that Toko found a meaningful relationship with someone who has such a similar personality to Aoi, except easier- as in, Aoi but desperate for help; Aoi but doesn't know what you've said and done; Aoi but won't hold it against you; Aoi but younger, more naive, less intimidating, less curvy -has to sting on some level.
Like, I don't think Aoi wanted to be dating Toko, but just on a friendship level, to find out that instead of trying to mend their relationship, as fellow killing game survivors and classmates, Toko just found a clean slate version of her to love...
(Also, if it sounds like I'm being anti-Toko, I'm not. I like Toko. I just had to talk about Hina's feelings again because it could be so messy.)
