Lowkey think many of us ignores how badly written Hinata was. I found her to be very likeable, but also very shallow as a character in general. Like Sakura she is writed to be a romantic interest and it's impossible not to note that Kishimoto did not intend to give them more than that in regards of motivation, but there is something about the two of them that makes me relate in some level, despite the narrative not giving anything to rely on when trying to perceive them as complex personas outside of their feelings for Naruto and Sasuke, respectively. Hinata has a whole background to be very much more involved with, which is not a thing we can say about Sakura, nonetheless we saw close to nothing about her doing an active role in the big mess that is her clan. Sure, she was very inspired bu Naruto actions, and did use that inspiration to fight, and that's very deserving of praise - however, with her being as passive as she can be with the Hyuuga clan dynamics and comparing her behavior with Neji about it: it doesn't appear she's really somethin more than a background in another character history. That could be simbolic, but I found it irritating the lack of involvement when she was so central in the matter after all.
