O' wise bitches,

I got a phone interview for a place i really want to work at, which went really well. I was told I would be getting a call from the employment manager of the location (different person from the interviewer) within 2 days, and was told to let the phone interviewer know if i didn't.

After 3 days of nothing i sent an email to the interviewer, and on day 5 they responded saying that they resent an email reminder to whoever's supposed to call me. It's day 9 and i've still heard nothing.

Is this a silent rejection or is there a possibility they just haven't checked their emails???

Ugh, I hate this for you. This is one of the reasons job searching is so anxiety-inducing!

And honestly, it could be either. Speaking as someone who has hired people, it could be that they're busy. And speaking as someone who has applied for jobs, it could be a silent rejection.

sooo theoretically, if i've been fired from my last 4 jobs, how TF do i get references/hired for new positions? nothing against my food service friends, but I don't think they're exactly qualified to speak to my behavioral science capabilities

& if i'm forced to go back to my only "good"/relevant references, they're from like 2013-2018 and am i supposed to say what about the last 3 jobs they gave me references for? admit to health problems and promise i'm better? not exactly convincing
