A freight-car ferry, was the original #tracksacrossthebay for the #sanfrancisco and #northpacificrailway from #SF to #Sausalito, after #WW1 it was refurbished as a #passenger and #automobile ferry beginning service in 1923. In 1941 #Eureka had the dubious distinction of making the last #MarinCounty run. It could haul 120 #automobiles and 2300 #passengers.
