"Try to stay away from fried concoctions."

"Aw." The thief smiled sweetly, reaching up to pat Eliot's cheek none-too-gently. "You mispronounced 'you're so good at your job, Parker.'" As she imitated Eliot, she exaggerated the voice, going a few octaves lower and rasping like an old jazz singer. "'It sure is a good thing you don't need luck!'"

I can hear you. Something’s wrong.

She tries to make the words appear, but they’re lost somewhere between her head and her tongue. Parker stumbles forward, catches herself against the desk for a moment, and falls to her knees. Fear pulls at her chest. Her body is her weapon, her getaway ticket; her confidence in her physicality has been her survival.

All that confidence is gone now. What was it? The drink at the party? Something she touched in the safe? She makes a wordless noise of panic as something thumps against the locked door. Please be Eliot.

◕ ━ What’s something you consider is a special talent you can do?

I have an extremely good memory for song lyrics, which my husband finds hilarious because I often will have no idea what the name of the song is, or who the band is, but I sure can sing along! Even if I've only heard the song a handful of times. Something about the combination of music + words just makes it work for my brain. I think it's pretty cool, and it's a lot of fun for me, even if it does sometimes annoy other people hahaha.

☂ ━ What’s your favorite kind of weather and why?

I prefer overcast days, when it's just slightly cold and maybe raining a little bit. I have always been pretty light sensitive, so sunny days aren't my favorite, and I prefer colder weather over hotter weather just in general. My favorite time to be outside is just after it's finished raining and everything is still wet but the sun is starting to come out, or starting to set. If you catch it at the right time of day the sun steams the water right up off the pavement and in general it's just very cool to look at.

"What? No it's not." Parker responds only with minimal confusion, refusing to be interrupted from her task. They find themselves in the biggest candy store in the country, after hours, with nothing to do but wait and scope the place out, and she's not supposed to eat everything in here? Absolutely not.

With her legs fully off the floor in her determination to get into the giant tub, she's quite a picture. She's only disrupted when Elliot wraps his arms around her and bodily pulls her out. Parker scowls.

"This isn't fair! You get to keep cooking when we have cooking jobs!"
