Nyob zoo, sawv daws nyob li cas?
hi! so i'm on a hyperfocus kick lmao and i was going thru the hmong tag and saw that u had previously asked for hmong resources. i was wondering if u ever found any that u would be willing to share? i actually learned some in person years ago and i'm looking to get back into it but ya, resources r veryyy hard to come by :( thanks for ur time~
Truly, resources Are* super hard to come by 🥺 also I apologize for not answering sooner lol (school!panic)
So I actually did manage to gather a few resources! I haven't taken the time to really go through them so I can't speak on how thorough or useful they are, but I'll post the links here!!
Here is a page that lists different apps for Hmong learning, it's geared towards children/babies, but aren't we new learners too??
The following are links to sites that either sell or list books that are in Hmong/Hmong-English
Link 1 Link2 ** Link 3
**(link 2 includes Lao & Hmong lang children's books)
This website is StudyHmongDotCom and includes a Hmong/Thai-English interactive dictionary. I think it may be a really good resource because it looks like it provides guided learning/youtube videos as well as listing dif resources for specific goals (ie, vocab building, reading comp)
And then finally, there is Brainscape and Hmonglessons - I am unsure of the breadth of their content, but at first glance they look like they could be super helpful!
Thanks so much for popping in to ask (and getting me to look thru and organize some of my things ;_; ). best of luck to you, and if you want a Hmong-learning buddy... lmk!
In Hmong we don’t say “I miss you” we say “Kuv nco koj” which literally translates to “I remember you” and that’s more than just sad.

Who know Hmong? I need help translating something
Hmong Isn't a Certified Language
“Why isn’t a valid language?” My cousin said these words with frustration this morning when she was trying to fill out an online work application.
Yes, I to sometimes question myself that same question and I also get frustrated sometimes when I upon a question that reads “Is English your native language?” Of course, I’ll put no but sometimes I have to put yes. Since, most of the time when you…
