WHO THE FUCK HAS @brett-howden USER AND ISN’T FUCKING USING IT?
My blog was suspended by Tumblr for over three weeks for ‘hoarding urls’ and I’m finally back. Just a PSA that if you send a message to Tumblr support for help on something, make sure you don’t have any urls saved at all because that will make them notice and suspend your blog until you delete all of your urls :(
So I’m tagging @staff because I’m really starting to get tired of their inability to help me in any given situation. This time I asked about the availability of a url that currently shows a “there’s nothing here” page and isn’t in use, but that tumblr won’t let me use and they sent me back the same old sob story. My polite request is at the bottom. I didn’t ask to steal someone else’s saved url. I even provided an attachment of a screenshot of the “There’s nothing here.” page.
So first off @staff & @support since when could I start HIDING my urls? I knew about password protecting them so no one could see the blog, but now I can hide any old url I save despite THIS:
How can I do this amazing task so that I can start saving my urls in secret so that even though everyone thinks they’re not taken they will still be safely mine? Cause there is totally a point in having a tumblr site with absolutely no access to a url and it even says it doesn’t exist! *HEAVY SARCASM IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW* There is literally no reason for said feature unless you’re hoarding urls.
Also what do you mean by "terminated blog" because I have had urls that I have released/deleted taken from me within 24 hours. Not that I don't necessarily believe you, but I have inquired about unused urls before, and within 15 minutes of a staff member replying to me, the url I had asked about was suddenly in use and given to the now blog owner by a friend on the staff??? I'm really just confused by how "don't hoard urls" is in your rules, and yet you can't do anything about it. I understand saving people’s privacy and I understand not taking URLs from an active blog, but this one clearly ISN’T. I would really love a true and honest response, and therefore have given up emailing you, because you always stop emailing me first,
OH HEY THERE’S A THING IN THE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES ABOUT SAVING/HOARDING URLS.
Username/URL Abuse or Squatting. Tumblr's usernames/URLs are meant for the use and enjoyment of all of our users. Don't squat, hoard, amass, accumulate, accrue, stockpile, rack up, buy, trade, sell, launder, invest in, ingest, get drunk on, cyber with, grope, or jealously guard Tumblr usernames/URLs.
If this is not news, please ignore me o.o I was reporting a spambot when I noticed this xD
The “hoards Tumblr urls for status and power” squad
Virgo, Scorpio, Aries, Aquarius, Leo, Gemini
If you hoard url's, you need to:
-not
I freaking hate people who hoard url’s. I almost want to start hoarding url’s just so I can get a chance to trade to get a better one.
