Canon Characters Wanted!
Alfrid Lickspittle, played by Ryan Gage, is an advisor of the Master of Lake-town. Slimy, self-serving, this Man is a stickler for the rules and is always looking out for himself. Read more about him here.
Beorn is a hulking and powerful skin-changer, able to assume the form of a bear, and has suffered greatly at the hands of Orcs. Though he is a warrior, he has a great respect for life and cares deeply for his animal companions. He is played by Mikael Persbrandt. Read more about him here.
Played by Conan Stevens, Bolg is the son of Azog, the Pale Orc and nemesis to Thorin Oakenshield. Colossal, fearsome and terrifying to behold, this is a character to make the denizens of Middle Earth quake in their boots. To learn more about him click here.
We all know Gimli from The Lord of the Rings (played by John Rhys-Davies) but he was living during the events of The Hobbit too! In fact, at the age of 62 (equivalent of about 20-21 in human terms) he was not that much younger than Fíli and Kíli - though it still stopped him from joining them on the Quest, as he had wanted to. His father Glóin, and uncle Óin, are both in play so opportunities for family threads abound. You can use whoever you fancy to play young Gimli, so long as he has the trademark reddish brown hair. Domhnall Gleeson, perhaps? Learn more here.
The Great Eagles really do need more appreciation and we have a couple of original characters on site, though the canons remain untaken. Gwaihir is no regular Eagle, however, as he is known as the Windlord he is the greatest of the Eagles to live during the Third Age. He plays a role in both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and has a special connection to Gandalf, who saved him from an injury caused by a poisoned arrow many years ago. Read more about this magnificent character here.
More Ents would be warmly welcomed as we have a superb original Entish character but no others to keep him company - yet! The oldest of all the Ents (and possibly the most long-winded too) Treebeard lives in Fangorn forest, tends to its trees and has something of a friendship with Saruman the White, with the pair discussing various subjects at length. Learn more about him here.

This is just a taster, there are plenty of other canons still available so don't forget to check our full canon list for Hobbits, Ents, Eagles, Men and more! Don't forget, we also warmly welcome original characters of all backgrounds and there are plenty of wanted advertisements to inspire. We hope that you will join us! ~
Ages of Arda: Seeking Humans!
Humans are needed in every era. The First Age, the Middle Ages, the Hobbit and the War of the Ring all have a dire need for them - as we have scarcely any at all! If you need some canon notions for the First Age and Middle Ages, here are a few:
First Age: Beren, Bëor, Brandir, Bregolas, Emeldir, Hador, Haldad, Haldan, Haleth, Handir, Hareth, Huor, Hurin, Galdor, Gorlin, Marach, Morwen, Nienor Níniel, Rían, Tour, and Turin.
Second Age: Anarion, Ar-Gimilzôr, Ar-Pharazôn, Elendil, Erendis, Isildur, Tar-Minastir, Tar-Miriel, Tar-Palantir

Ages of Arda: Seeking Two Very Important Elves!
Celeborn's family is in dire need of his wisdom and love. Galadriel has suffered a head trauma he will need to assist her in overcoming; Elladan was kidnapped and could certainly benefit from his grandfather's wisdom, Elrond will always welcome his council and Elrohir - well, he's prickly. It's up to you if his grandfather pokes the hedgehog or lets him roll away.
Celeborn will have plenty more to do beyond manage his family what with Glorfindel and Erestor about, and we cannot forget that troublesome Fellowship once it arrives as well! And speaking of the Fellowship...
Thranduil is in need of his son, and Tauriel could surely use a friend. Legolas' personal guard Muinder has been a bit aimless without him as well. There will be plenty of individuals for Legolas to engage within Mirkwood and Imladris, and many more once Dwarves start trickling into his homeland.

Ages of Arda: Seeking Istari
Gandalf will have many adventures ahead of him. From explaining to Glorfindel why he and a dwarf need swords of Gondolin, to enjoying the company of Elrond and Galadriel, to ruining poor Bilbo's life for no other reason than because he can, there is no shortage of entertainment in store for Gandalf the Grey - and later the White!
Saruman is a member of the White Council and therefore will have much on his hands what with Glorfindel and Erestor's consistent bickering, Elrond's abject refusal to ddiscipline his children - not to mention the children themselves, bringing frogs into council meetings - and naturally, the Lady of Lorien to appease.
Radagast is all over the place, so really, he can do whatever he wants so long as he doesn't sniff around Thranduil's Dorwinion too much. The King might not be too amenable to that.
Very little is known about Alatar or the regions of the East in general. Still the Eastern lands do play a strong role throughout the ages and we at AoA feel that Alatar would be welcomed by the Elves at the very least, if he came to impart wisdom or perhaps seek allegiances. The above face claim is Milind Soman as a recommendation but by no means does he have to be used!
As with Alatar, so too with Pallindo, whose above face claim is Ghassan Massoud. These blue wizards have a great deal of freedom, as Ages of Arda does not span into the Eastern Lands themselves, the creator of either Istari is welcomed and encouraged to provide a reason for their return west - or perhaps their series of visits or what have you. These two really are quite free to bend and mold.

Ages of Arda: Seeking Company!
Thorin is an integral part of the Company and will hardly be heading it alone. His nephew Fili awaits and so too does the plucky hobbit none-too-keen on adventure, Bilbo Baggins. Along the way is Elrond and the elves of Imladris, as well as Thranduil of Mirkwood to engage as well.
Dwalin is the muscle to Thorin's....uh. Muscle. Since brain isn't the operative word for Thorin. Bring him on board - somebody needs to headlock Fili before he does something really stupid.
Kili needs to join his brother Fili before said brother gets into far too many adventures without him! He's already hauling a half-elf out of a well, and we can't let him get away with that on his own, now can we?
Bifur's cousin Bofur is already on board and awaiting his arrival!
Gloin, Oin, Ori & Balin will have Fili, Bofur, and elves both friendly and harsh to interact with upon their arrival to Ages of Arda!
Bombur's brother Bofur awaits - and so too do the kitchens of Imladris, which we assure, do in fact stock meat!
Dori & Nori will have plenty to do with all the wines to taste and mischief to make between keeping an eye on a wayward Fili and a sometimes grumpy hobbit lad!
