HOLI 2014!

The time spent with family and friends always remains embedded in my mind, especially if its a festival because it is this time of the year when the whole family comes together just to celebrate. It is this time of the year when love and affection are visible without any effort.

This little one enjoyed the wholehearted love and attention of everyone this year!

HAPPY HOLI 2014!

After a day of colours and water, I know, just like last year, that it is time now to be born again, to wash ourselves from shadows, to smile at spring, to change everything that can be changed.

And by doing all this we are but believeing in ourselves. A change does mean your heart changes. And that's why if my skin is still pink and blue today i know that it is only me who is under it.

Welcome, spring. Once more.

so it's a Holi morning and i'm lovin' it so far. it mostly consisted of good food, my face being coloured (doesn't look so bad), staying from everything wet, good food, more food and a few absurdities. 

yes, absurdities because you see all kinds of people downstairs doing gross things with eggs and grease (ew), bolloywood-esque things with pretty colours (yay!) and playing THE most strange songs (had me wut-ting).

i heard one song which went something like this, "samundar mein naha ke aur bhi namkeen ho gayi ho." which translates into "after talking a bath in the sea you have become more salty." now mind you this is a flirtatiously funny song (supposedly) but why the fuck would call your girl SALTY??!!!/ i'd have understood had it been "masaledaar" etc because that would translate into the girl being spicy (????). 

i dont get it. 

so i'm gonna listen to this song on youtube and send a text to my buff saying "happy holi may you become more salty/namkeen." because that is soooooooooo flattering. 

i am now gonna go back to my balcony to listen to and watch more of such absurdities.
