Winter Artwork

Jack Frost x Reader | ☁️ | 1.4k | Teacher!Reader

Grabbing the big bin of art supplies, you carefully navigated your way around the classroom to the desk at the front of the room. Setting it down on the ground, you started pulling out the different supplies. 

Pencil crayons, crayons, paints, brushes, glitter - nope. You put the glitter back into the bin. Not today - you were giving them enough free reign in art as is, glitter was not going to be a problem today. Paint would be easier to deal with.

Straightening up the piles of blank papers and cardstock ready to become canvas for your students, you tried to remember what you were missing.

“Ah, the extra art instructions and colouring sheets,” you recalled. Heading over to the printer in the resource room, you paused to peek out the window. 

Your students, among all the other students at the school, were happily screaming and playing outside in the snow. There was probably about ten minutes left for their outdoor break and they were definitely making the most of it.

(E/C) eyes scanning the playground, you noticed a certain figure that didn’t quite belong. While he could have been another staff member out on supervision, you knew that they were one of your co-workers. Taller than students and not dressed properly for the weather, the white haired male was excitedly engaged with playing with the kids. 

As if he could tell you were watching him, his blue eyes made contact with yours briefly. His charming crooked smile was flashed your way and had you blushing as you quickly turned away. 

Hopefully none of the students had seen that little interaction.

Returning to your trip to the resource room, you grabbed your pile of printing. You quickly checked your printing, making sure you had all the instructions, colouring sheets and, oh, looks like you printed the word searches too. Less work for next time.

The bell rang just as you were heading back into your classroom, the sound of feet pattering back into the school. 

“Alright, looks like I got everything,” you declared. 

The familiar sounding voices began to float into your classroom as your students started trickling back in.

“Ms. (Y/N)!” a voice chirped. 

You turned around with a smile. “Hi Camila!”

“Did you see the snow castle that me and Sonya built outside? We tried to make it super big!” 

“I haven’t! You’ll have to show you tomorrow when I’m outside with you!” you replied. “Is there space in your castle for me too?”

“Hmmm.” Camila paused to think. She turned to Sonya. “We need to make space for Ms. (Y/N) in our castle!”

Sonya gasped. “We completely forgot!”

You laughed at how cute they were. Greeting some of the others as they came back inside, you made sure everyone was accounted for before getting their attention.

“Alright, my friends!” you called out. “Remember what I told you we’d be doing for the afternoon?”

“Art!”

“Art,” you repeated happily. “So, today we’ll be making so wintery art to decorate the classroom. Since the winter holidays are coming up, I want you to draw or paint or colour anything you like related to winter. I have all the supplies up here and if you’re not sure where to start -” You picked up your print outs. “-I have ideas we can start with. Any questions?”

Your (E/C) eyes scanned the room.

“Sam?”

“Can I make a snowflake?” 

“Absolutely!” you agreed. “I loved to see your snowflake.”

“Henry?” 

“Are we allowed to draw what we did outside today?”

“Of course you can!”

You paused, waiting to see if there were any more questions. The excitement to do art seemed to sparkle in their little eyes as they all looked up at you.

“All right, supplies is up here on the table if you need it. Let’s get started!” 

Your students started moving around, getting the supplies they needed, chatting with their friends about what they wanted to do. Floating around the room to check up on everyone and help when you were needed, you soon found the classroom to be serene and on task. 

A rare treat from your energetic bunch.

Moving to the windows on the side of the room, you peered out to look at the snowy landscape outside. It was lovely to see the frost forming patterns on the glass. It was definitely chilly out though - you were glad you brought your scarf today.

“Ms. (Y/N)?”

“Yes,” you responded, turning around.

A teacher’s work is never done after all.

“Bye Ms. (Y/N)!” 

“Bye!!”

“Have a good weekend!”

You waved to your class as they all headed out for the day. Offering some of them hugs, you made sure everyone left the classroom before letting out your breath.

Another day done. 

Gathering the artwork piled on your desk, you flipped through what your students handed in. From pictures of snow people to playing in the snow to winter holiday traditions, your students had created lots of wonderful work. 

Seeing it all brought a smile to your face.

A certain drawing caught your eye - a picture of a boy with white hair, a blue hoodie and a wooden looking staff. 

You chuckled at the sight. How cute.

Armed with your stapler, some tape and the lovely winter art work from your students, you moved to the empty wall space to decorate the classroom. 

“Not heading home yet, (Y/N)?” 

You added a staple before turning to see the teacher next door. 

“Not yet, I still have some work to finish up in the classroom,” you replied.

“Thanks again for the coffee this morning,” they said. “It definitely helped me get through the morning.”

You smiled. “Anytime. Have a good evening!”

“You too!” they chimed before waving and leaving.

After working on putting up the art up for another fifteen minutes, you paused to look around the classroom. The place finally had some more cheer to it again - especially since you had taken down their last art pieces.

“Someone has been working hard.” 

The playful sounding observation was followed by arms wrapped your face and a cool breath tickling your neck. Leaning back into their embrace, you turned your head to meet the bright blue eyes that were watching you lovingly. 

“I always work hard,” you replied. “It was nice to see you playing with the kids.”

“They’re a great bunch,” he commented. His eyes shifted over to look at the art. “Oh, cool! Did you have them draw winter?”

You nodded, watching the boy excitedly move around your classroom to look at the student’s work. 

Jack laughed at the sight of one of the drawings. You moved over and laughed as well. 

Terry had drew and labelled his drawing - him and his friends having a snowball fight with the caption under one person who was being hit with the a snow as ‘Tony got hit in the face - we made sure he was okay after though!!’

“He’s a funny one,” you said with a chuckle, admiring the details.

“That might have been my snowball...” Jack confessed. 

You gasped and smacked his arm. “I better not need to fill out any incident reports because of you!”

“I’m careful! I swear!” The Guardian of Fun defended. 

You shook your head in amusement as you moved around the room, pushing in some chairs as you went. The last picture you put up before Jack came in made you pause.

“Sophie drew a picture of you,” you pointed out. “It looks exactly like you, Jack.”

Jack moved back to your side, his eyes taking in the details of the art. 

“Is this how I look in your eyes too?” 

You laughed. “I mean... It looks pretty accurate, but, I think she missed some of your charming details.”

Jack pulled you into a hug. “I love you, you know that right?”

“I love you too,” you murmured, returning his embrace. 

“When do I get to see some of your art?” Jack asked.

"Am I not a work of art?” you responded, kissing his cheek. Squirming out of his embrace, you grabbed your stuff and packed it into your bag. “Let’s go, I want to spend some quality time with you outside the classroom.”

Jack grinned. “Right behind you, love.”

Taking Chances

Diluc Ragnvindr x Reader | ☁️ | 1k

“Diluc!”

At the sound of the excited voice calling his name, the red haired winery owner turned to find the source. Scanning the streets, he soon spotted the (H/C) haired girl who was hurrying his way with a big smile.

He couldn’t help but smile as well.

Just as he was about to greet her, she dove into his arms for a hug.

“It’s nice to see you too, (Y/N).” Diluc gently said, returning her embrace.

“Sorry,” you mumbled, still hanging onto him. “I’m glad I was able to find you, Jean mentioned you were in town and I wanted to catch before you disappeared again for work.”

Taking a step back, you immediately noticed the difference in temperature when you were no longer hugging Diluc. Peering up at him, you were happy to see that he was doing well.

“Do you want to go to Angel’s Share?” he asked, gesturing in the direction of his tavern. “We can speak more privately together there.”

You bobbed your head in agreement. Walking alongside him, you looked around the streets of Mondstadt curiously. It had been a while since you had last been here.

“It’s nice to see things so peaceful here,” you commented. You gave Diluc a knowing smile. “...At least during the daytime.”

Diluc smiled and opened the tavern door for you. “It has been peaceful lately, not much changes.”

Waving to Charles at the bar, you headed towards the stairs. Waiting for Diluc as he stopped by the bar to chat with Charles, you glanced around to see the usual customers at the tavern.

“Hi Stanley!” you called out.

“Oh, traveler, good to see you!” he responded with a hiccup.

You giggled. Looks like he wasn’t drunk - yet. It was still afternoon after all.

When Diluc returned to your side, you slipped your hand into his larger one and led him upstairs. Picking one of many empty seats at the tavern on the second floor, you tried to calm your racing heart from holding Diluc’s hand. Even if it was just for a little moment.

“What brings you to Mondstadt?” Diluc asked, sitting down across from you. “It’s been a while.”

Your (E/C) eyes met his red eyes straight on.

“I missed you.”

The words made Diluc’s heart race. Although he was a bit distant with everyone, he had recently discovered that he had a soft spot for you. The Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius, a traveler who were exotic clothing, the girl who searching for someone important to her. It didn’t matter what people called you, to him, you were (Y/N). 

The one who slipped past his defenses and seemed to see him for who he was.

“And a recent mission from the Adventurers’ Guild,” you added honestly, looking down shyly as your cheeks heated up from the blunt confession. 

“Your usual companion not around?” Diluc asked, finally noticing the lack of an additional chatty voice.

“Oh, Paimon?” you asked. You shook your head. “Paimon decided to hang out with Jean and Lisa for the day. Something about not wanting to... third wheel...”

If your cheeks weren’t pink before, they were definitely now. 

Diluc chuckled, admiring how cute you were.

“Tell me about your travels,” he encouraged. “I heard that you went to Liyue?”

“Yes!” you replied, eyes sparkling.

As you explained where your journey had taken you and the chaotic events of Rex Lapis to him, Diluc took the time to listen and admire you. Even though you experienced so much in the world, it seemed like there was still so much that fascinated you. The positive aura you had never seemed to dull no matter what you encountered. 

That was one of the many things that Diluc liked about you. 

You were pretty, sweet, fierce and someone Diluc could see himself spending every second of every day with.

“Oh, I completely forgot - did you have any business to attend to?” you asked, suddenly realizing something you should have checked earlier when you had first saw Diluc. “I haven’t stolen the afternoon from you, have I? I heard the Guild has been busy with meetings lately.”

Did he mention how thoughtful you were? 

You could steal him away for however long you’d like and he wouldn’t have minded. Time with you was rare and much appreciated.

“That’s all taken care of,” Diluc reassured you. “I was going to head back to Dawn Winery later today but there was a change of plans. I was actually just out for a stroll, hoping to see you running around Mondstadt - I heard from a knight you were in the city.”

The soft smile that graced your face could light up worlds. It was enough to brighten Diluc’s entire day.

“I actually really like you, Diluc,” you confessed, shyly ducking your head. “I hope you’ll hear me out...”

The red head nodded encouragingly, waiting for your next words.

“I... I’m always going to be travelling Teyvat in search for my brother in search of the archons. I don’t know how long the journey will take or what my plans are for when I find him... It won’t be easy, but if you want... I would love to be try being in a relationship with you.”

Diluc knew exactly where you were coming from. He was a busy man as well. He knew that it wouldn’t be easy to start a relationship when there were so many other things happening in his life. 

But you were someone he wanted to be with too.

“Let’s try,” Diluc said. He offered his hand out to you. “Since we both have time right now, shall we go out on our first date?”

Your (E/C) eyes lit up in joy as you reached out and took his hand. 

For now, the world could wait.

You had someone special you wanted to spend time with.

Chilly Encounter

Kaeya Alberich x Reader | ☁️ | 1k

“Are you sure you’re okay, (Y/N)?” 

Your usually cheerful travel companion’s voice startled you as she appeared by your side while you made the trek back into Mondstadt, ignoring the looks of the residents.

“I’m fine, Paimon,” you responded, wrapping your arms around yourself in hopes of staying warm. “That abyss mage just moved a bit faster than I thought it would.”

Not too long ago, you had been asked by a knight to help deal with the growing amounts of hilicurls at a nearby camp. With some poor luck, you had soon found yourself out in the rain fighting hilicurls and an abyss mage with cryo power.

Everything was under control until you slipped on a puddle and got hit by the abyss mage.

So, guess who was going to Angel’s Share soaked and cold in hopes of warming up with some food?

“Anything you want to eat at the tavern?” you asked.  “We’ll probably be there for a while.”

“Yes!” Happiness seemed to radiate off of Paimon as she contemplated her choices. Food was probably the best way to win over your travel companion after all. “Oooh, what should I eat today?”

You giggled but then stiffened at the cool breeze. Today was cold out... At least you had the satisfaction of beating up that abyss mage. If you didn’t beat it up, you would personally guarantee that Klee’s bombs would be the last thing the abysmal creature would see. 

Picking up your pace, you hurriedly moved towards the tavern. Giving Patton a half-hearted greeting as you walked by, you let Paimon float in before stepping inside yourself.

“Oh. What’s the Honorary Knight doing at the tavern today?”

The smooth, familiar voice had you turning your head immediately. 

“Kaeya!” you greeted. “I didn’t think I’d see you here.”

“Well, here I am,” the knight responded. He gestured to the table he was at. “Would you two like to join me?”

"Sure,” you replied.

“Paimon is going to order some food first!” Paimon called out, already slowly floating towards Charles.

“Order something for me too?” you called back.

Paimon flashed you a thumbs up. 

Having been traveling companions for so long, the two of you knew exactly what the other’s food preferences were. You trusted her to make the best decisions for you.

Sliding into the seat next to Kaeya, you looked at the eye patched man who seem to watch you with an amused smile.

“Looks like someone got caught in the cold.” Kaeya observed. 

“I hate abyss mages,” you grumbled. A shiver jolted you. “Ah... I’ll be okay once i warm up.”

“Awww...” Kaeya cooed, he wrapped an arm around you, pulling you towards him. Your stiffness faded when you realized he was trying to help you warm up. “Can’t have our Honorary Knight getting sick on us.”

“For someone who’s a cryo user, you’re pretty warm,” you commented. Cuddling up to him, you could feel Kaeya’s heartbeat. It was hard to tell, but it felt like it was going faster than usual. “Anything you want in return for this random act of kindness?”

“What makes you think there’s something I want in return?” Kaeya asked, his eyebrow raising in curiosity.

You simply answered his question with your own look of disbelief.

“Okay, okay. If I do ask though, do you think you’d be able to fulfill it?”

“Depends on what you ask for,” you replied. Your thoughts drifted back to the last time Kaeya sent you off on a task. “Also - I’d appreciate it if you told me what you want honestly. I don’t want to go on another baited treasure hunting trip with Paimon fueled by your lies. We’ve gone on way too many trips like that as it is.”

“Heh, so maybe I haven’t been the most honest person,” Kaeya said with a shrug. “Do you trust me though?”

You hesitated but nodded. 

“You’re so trusting of others,” Kaeya commented at your quick response.

“My brother has said the same thing,” you murmured, thinking about your lost sibling. Where would the two of you be now if he had not been taken away...? 

Even the Cavalry Captain recognized this was a topic that you spoke very little about. He knew from Amber that you had been separated from your brother and were on a journey to find him. Besides that, you never mentioned your unknown past to him. 

To him, you were a mystery. A person full of secrets that don’t know where to go. 

Just like him. 

You gently shook your head. “Sorry, if I didn’t trust you, or if you didn’t trust me, I don’t think we’d be here like this.”

Cuddled up next to each other at a table near the back of the tavern, you were certain the two of you looked like a couple to the unsuspecting eye. The entire time, Kaeya had his arm wrapped around you. Despite pointing this out, neither of you made the effort to move.

You had finally warmed up after being out in the cold and Kaeya was simply happy with how things were. 

“You have a point, (Y./N),” Kaeya agreed. “So, my request of you...”

He paused and you shifted in your seat so you could see his expression better. It looked as if Kaeya was still contemplating what he wanted to say.

“Kaeya?” 

His gloved hand gently squeezed your shoulder as he turned to look you in the eye.

“Go out on a date with me.”

Seeing you blink owlishly made the man chuckle. Watching you process his words, he waited for you to respond.

“We’re here with the food!” Paimon exclaimed, floating over with Charles who was carrying several dishes. “Sorry for taking so long! Paimon got to try some new foods.” She paused when she noticed how close you and Kaeya were. “Oh~ Did something happen while i was gone?”

Kaeya just grinned. “Perhaps.”

You, on the other hand, blushed. “Just warming up. Thanks for ordering, Paimon.”

“Ok-ay~”

As Paimon moved to sit down and eat, you turned your attention back to Kaeya.

“Let me know where and when, I’ll be there.”
