hollanov household shopping addiction (see post) reminds me that the couple (both together and as individuals) would be the most chronic, thoughtful, and funny gift givers.

literally it’s not even your birthday or a holiday and they give you that thing you needed and were supposed to buy anyways

"Dude." Holmberg sat up in bed, rubbing sleep from his eyes. "Seriously?"

Luca was too happy to bother with him, so he just gave him a big grin. "Go back to sleep."

"Were you out all night? What the fuck?" Holmberg whisper-hissed across the hotel room.

"Yeah." Luca kicked off his shoes, took off his jacket, stretched his neck. He could still smell Yannick on himself, and was thus procrastinating the much-needed shower.

"You? Stayed out all night?" Holmberg asked incredulously. "With Roz and Holly and Barrett?!"

"No!" Luca squinted at him. "I... ran into somebody I knew."

"In New York?" Holmberg was fully awake now, sitting up in the hotel twin bed which was way too small for his enormous frame.

"Yeah, it's a coincidence." Luca shrugged. He was still grinning; it was impossible to keep his face neutral right now. Maybe this grin would be stuck to his face forever now.

Holmberg frowned at him. "...who?"

Luca shifted, feeling himself blush. "My ex."

Holmberg gasped. "THE ex?!"

Bergy, who was Luca's best friend on the team, was the only person who knew some things about Yannick. No details, just of his existence, and a little bit about how it had ended between them.

Luca nodded.

"That's crazy, dude!" Bergy mimed an explosion in his brain. "Are you fucking with me?!"

"No!" Luca laughed, "I'm not. It was crazy, we just ran into him in the street. Apparently he lives here, now."

"And then you went out?!" Holmberg had a delighted grin on his face now. Luca nodded again.

Holmberg let out an appreciative laugh, holding out one of his huge hands towards Luca to dab him up.

"Did you, y'know, rekindle things?" He wiggled his brows.

Luca blew out a breath, shifting on his feet, looking down at the brown hotel room carpet. "We'll see where it goes."

"That's awesome, man." Bergy let out a huge yawn.

Luca, meanwhile, lingered, still procrastinating the shower. Sneakily, he pulled his t-shirt up to his nose, inhaling Yannick's scent from it.

"Oh my god, dude, you're down bad." Bergy laughed.

"Shut up," Luca muttered, blushing.

Young,LaPointe,Holmberg,and a very confused Haasy, with the Russian defenseman rookie,and backup goalie rookie as cameramen.

The challenge is simple and elegant:

Everyone gets a turn in rotation. No cuts or camera tricks, no cheating allowed. 1 shot for ice level to level 3, 3 shots for the middle,5 for the top level with max 3 strides run up there (extra points for a stationary shot). Whoever gets the least goals has to pay for dinner.

Try to be quick so they won't get caught. Nothing can go wrong. Right?😬

They all sink the ice level to level 3 shots without issue. So far so good.

The Russian rookie misses one, and Young and Holmberg (all d-men) miss two shots each from the middle. Haasy and LaPointe (wings) haven't missed a shot. The maintenance guys none of them have noticed are having a great time.

The highest level is when hyper-competitiveness sets in,and it all devolves into chaos. Pucks go everywhere. LaPointe comes close on attempts 3 and 4 but his fifth one gets lost in the stands. Then Young lets one rip that goes way wide and shatters glass. Haasy being a good boy,too pure for this world, too precious, and a ball of anxiety, baulks immediately,and tries to convince the others to turn themselves in,and clean up the mess right away.

His dumbass friends promise they will but first they need to find out if a goal from the highest level is even possible. And they are convinced the only person who could pull it of, if indeed possible, is Haasy. It takes a lot of cajoling but Haasy eventually caves.

Shot 1 - if that pane of glass hadn't already broken, it would've here.

Shot 2 - A near miss

Shot 4. Haasy locks in like it's the final minute of a Game 7. Takes his time. Breathes. Shoots. GOAL!!!! The crowd (his friends,the maintenance guys, and two bemused security guards) goes wild!!!

Unfortunately that is also the moment they do get caught.

They have to apologize, help clean up,and pay for the glass but other than that, a thorough scolding,and extra bag skates next practice they get off easy.

So easy in fact,that LaPointe decides to post the video anyways. You know,so everyone can see how awesome his bestie Haasy is.

A few weeks later, in Toronto, to the surprise of no one, the other Centaurs make their own vaguely management approved version. They even got mini cameras to put on the pucks,and the social media staff filming properly.

Ilya only misses once from the highest level, as do Troy,and their 3rd and 4th centers. The Rookies are back at it too,and have improved their techniques.

In fact,all of the Centaurs do amazingly well,and with flair and style to spare. Wyatt Hayes,and the backup goalie included.

Shane's competitiveness wins out,and he decides to join them after all. And he sinks every.single.one like it's nothing. With flawless technique, deadly precision, and insane velocity.

(Granted,he has to redo shot 4 from the highest point because of an incredibly horny Ilya starting to tackle-grope him but they cut most of that out for obvious reasons😬😅)

The entire team is just standing around watching every shot in hushed awe until Shane puts the last puck in and then they swarm him and hoist him up on their shoulders,hooting and celebrating him like he deserves.

Ilya barely lasts 10 more minutes before he has to drag Shane to the nearest storage closet for a "taking the edge off blowjob" before hurrying them back to their hotel room so he can spend several hours fucking his magnificent husband into oblivion.

Of course the internet goes instantly feral over both videos.

From Young's adorable sock monkey hat,to Haasy being his usual timid,humble,camera shy good egg self,to Hollanov thirsting over each other,Troy getting the sneaky glamor shot treatment and kisses by Harris,and all the Centaurs looking oh so fine,and badass - it's a massive hit.

Oskar Holmberg so dear to my heart honestly. I will prephase this by saying that me and @irresponsibility101 have once again chatted so much shit about this guy in the dms that #ourogge's kind of blurred together somehow so some of this might come from their beautiful brain as well. BUT here is a list of Oskar Lore, some of which might come up in the fic or has been mentioned. There are some things I'm not revealing about this fucker yet though

oskar holmberg, also known as Ogge to his friends and family, also known as Berger, Bergy, Hamberger, berglar, oggy.

Played for a youthteam that had a salmon in its logo, actually startinga s a goalie but switchign to forward when he kept losing focus in the crease.

Probably has some weird pre-game rituals that rival the energy of a goalie. He has said in interviews before that he would love to play goalie if they need one in an emergency a la Crosby.

Not an only child. Irresponsibility101 came up with the incredible idea to give him a premiere league football player brother named William which I kind of love. He is a middle child, the football player is the oldest, and the youngest brother (Hugo) does competitive orienteering and his plan is to move into the middle of nowhere, maybe on an island or in the woods somewhere so nobody can reach him.

Best friends and roommates with Luca, which they decided to become roommates when they moved out of billeting. Their home, the #holmhaus, is one of those fully furnished modern sleek flats and then him and Luca bring a certain early twenties living on your own for the first time frat boy decor to it. And fridge magnets from every city they visit.

Very undiagnosed ADHD golden retriever energy. Has been described by opponents as 'that swedish little shit needs to shut the fuck up before i punch his teeth in' and 'a troublemaker' by his teachers. When he decides you're his friend you can't really get rid of him.

Gets on like a house on fire with Luca's sister Sarah (the snowboarder).

King of putting his foot in his mouth on account of not having a filter and thoughts just sort of making their way out of his mouth.

He is working on his DJ skills on the side. They're not very good but he's enthusiastic about it.

He also has an unhinged collection of hats and sneakers. The cock-hat Luca wears in the fic is actually Ogge's. There are a number of salmon pun hats, women fear me hats fish want me variations, there's a camo barbie cap, etc.

He's really into Lord of the Rings and used to want to be Legolas when he grew up.

Clocked Luca being gay pretty early on in living together but it never came up. Also clocked Luca having a gigantic fucking crush on Puck before Luca did, on account of Luca never shutting the fuck up about this guy he met and all the not-dates they kept going on, and also the late night phonecalls.

Perpetually single. Has hooked up with a forward from the Ottawa Rush after the pride scrimmage but nothing came of it. Insists he's straight, and to prove this one time he and Luca made out when drunk. He pretends not to be offended when Luca is like 'it was like kissing a brother'.

I have Future Plans for Holmberg that might contradict the previous bulletpoint but I will not reveal this yet bc I might turn this into an installment in the series.
