Frankenstein's monster bleeds from his right rib, the area where Jesus Christ was pierced by the spear of a Roman soldier named Longinus. The blood that flowed from the wound was said to have healing powers. The creature also strikes the crucifixion pose to be reanimated but if he's Christ, then is Victor the cruel god who brought him to life to suffer? I find it odd that Victor never tries to stitch up that spot and that the creature's healing factor skipped over it.
