the Holyfire headcanons 🤭

-Ignacio probably doesn’t really think of their relationship as a romantic one, he mostly sees it as a friendship gone wild due to how much Skid’s dad gives to him

-Skid’s dad’s love language is..well gift giving! He loves to treat Ignacio to anything he wants as long as it’s affordable,,,then again he’ll also steal sometimes

-Ignacio has taken Skid’s dad to a few carnivals, he’s tried DESPERATELY to win his boyfriend a prize but always fails

-They both obsess over Christmas, one of the main things they do is try to figure out a whole meal for the cult..Ignacio usually does that while the cult leader hyperventilates in the corner about what presents he should get everyone

-Skid’s dad probably tries to do a lot of things to impress Ignacio- like popping a wheeley on a bike

-Ignacio is a very good cook as stated in the Christmas headcanon! Well he’s good at comfort food- mostly makes stuff for Skid’s dad whenever he thinks about Lila and Skid

I think it'd even be pretty easy to set it up, too-- instead of just abducting and sacrificing Gregor, the cult has Ignacio spy on him to decide if Gregor would be better as a pawn or as Eyes chow

Insert Ignacio having to actually Interact and get to know him instead because Gregor catches on pretty quick there's someone in the church with him

And then as Ignacio gets Attached he firmly decides Gregor becoming a sacrifice is not an option

The funny part is this can be written as Ignacio's clumsiness leads to him falling in love

Ofc Iggy's just gonna do this, he's got nothing better to do and is devoted to the cult anyway, so he might as well spy on this stupid priest, sure, whatever

Well, the plan was to spy on him from inside the church, but while trying to keep an eye on him, this idiot(/vaff) ended up tripping on a stack of those hymn books and alerting him. Ofc Gregor wants to know what he's doing there, and Iggy's defensiveness leads Gregor to believe that maybe he's having problems he's not comfortable talking about. So instead he offers to just talk with the guy instead

Ofc Ignacio wants to decline initially before he realizes 'Wait maybe I can get info outta this guy' so he accepts. They get to talking and eventually Gregor realizes 'Holy shit this guy is so lonely wtf'.

So it becomes a regular thing. Ignacio talks with Gregor and slowly becomes a bit more open with him. He never lets it slip about the cult but he has let it slip about having a bad relationship with his parents, and being unable to find a partner.

When he finds out Gregor pities him, initially, he wants to yell at him and never return, having gathered all he felt like he could anyway, but he just... can't bring himself to. He's come to realize life has become a little bit more... worth it after talking with him. Less dull and lonely.

And then it hits him.

I actually care about this bastard.
