Here's my new gem oc, Dumortierite! Idk what I was doing with her but I'm soooo proud of her design! I decided I'm shipping her with Graphite, who I don't think I've ever drawn despite her literally being my first Steven universe oc ever, bc they both have like this great Greek goddess kinda vibe, and then I got way to invested in them!

My idea was that dumortierite was a homeworld battle strategist who liked worked with soldiers and sapphires to make like plans of attack for war and conquest or at least that's what she used to do on homeworld before joining the crystal gems to use the same skill. I kinda incorporated both into the outfit I drew her in, with a star and a diamond, but she probably had separate forms.

I'll mention graphite here too, she's a scribe and record keeper on homeworld (you know, cuz graphites a pencil lol)

One more Moonstone redesign to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the show this year!

I wanted to clean up the details and the general style I use for him to make something more in line with the show. I always kind of struggled with his hair, but I think I have the hang of it this time. I want it to look kind of like a comet.

In the main series, Moonstone would oversee a White Diamond colony that detains wayward gems, develops new tech and scouts potential locations for new colonies. The rejuvenator was developed at his colony.

In SU future, his colony ceases normal operation and opens as a place of general residence for any gems who need it. He visits earth often and enjoys exploring snowy mountains.

Similar to White Diamond, he can telepathically connect to other gems and alter the data within, be it remotely controlling them or erasing/resetting them altogether.

He was created as a gift from Pink to White while she was campaigning for her own colony, with the intention that more would be produced after Earth was completed. This would never come to pass, so he is currently the only one in existence as the methods used to create Moonstones died with Pink.

Red Howlite and Speckled Pearls

An elite class combat gem and his trio of pearls, Red Howlite is a known gem who spreads terror and fear when his name is spoken. His pearls scare people as well, but mostly just because they have a staring problem.

He owns a ship called the Scarlet Castle, large enough to shadow some dwarf planets, all you can do is hope you’re not on his list.

in celebration of the steven universe news, heres a gemsona i did for a class i teach.

Hey im coming back to steven universe

Take my vivianite gemsona!

He maintains and upholds the homeworld's gemstone graveyard and even travels out to find discarded off color/crystal gems shards so that no shard is left behind

Hes very meticulous in making sure the correct shards go in the right piles and tries putting them back together before bubbling them.

Hes very compassionate about all gems but virtually talks to no one, a shut in.

During the war, he began hiding off colors and crystal gems by poofing and bubbling them, with the promise theyd be safe until the war was over. He kept true to this promise and post war, has since released everyone and even gone back to earth to see little homeworld and care for the shards on earth too

Other little facts, hes in love with a peridot (my other gemsona) and two other gems, that form labradorite(seafoam aquamarine and morrisonite)
